LF Chapter: 5

  "Hey Sadie Marie." He said as he made his we over to me. I really did not want him to be here. He was a great boyfriend but he wanted to much, to early and he wouldn't wait. So when he wanted it I didn't give it and he ended it.

"Hi." I said as I looked over at the stage. I was hoping for someone to be there to save me but no one. He put his and hands in his pockets and looked down at me.

"I'm over here." he said as he put his binded index finger under my chin. This is the thing about country boys, their mama's teach them how to treach a girl, and then one day they decide to do something differently. Don't teach you that in movies do they?

"Yeah." I said as Sadie tapped my shoulder, she pointed over at Beau who was gesturing for her to come over, I nodded so that she knew I was okay.

"Hey I want to show you this amazing gun! I placed it behind the shed over there." He said as he reeled me into his trick. But my mind didn't realized it at the time so I went along as he gently held my hand as we walked over behind the shed.

"Okay so wheres the gun." I said as I kicked a pile of leaves. He looked at me and chuckled.

"Right here." He said as he he grabbed my waist pulling me close to him. I put my hands on his chest to push him back but no matter how hard I pushed he wouldn't budge.

"Nick stop." I said as he leaned in. He drawed back and looked at me with confusion.

"Come on, babe you know you want to kiss me." He said as he leaned in again.

"In no way do I want to kiss you." I said as I finally go out of his grasp.

"You will kiss me." He said as he pulled my wrist. I could smell the alchole in his breath.

"No get away from me." I said before his fist came in contact with the area bellow my collar bone. I fell back and scutted away. As soon as I got my strenght, which was like two second, I got up and ran to Sadie.

"What's wrong," she said as she moved my hair," Oh my, what did he do?" She asked as she examined the red and purple spot on my lower neck area.

"It's nothing get me out of here." I said as she nodded and started guiding me towards the doors to the warehouse. I walked with my head low holding my arms over the bruise.

"Hey Sadie Marie!" I heard a husky voice say from behind. I turned my head to look over my should and saw John Luke. I nod and put my head back down. Soon I was in the safty of the warehouse.

"Let me see." Sadie said as I unfolded my arms to reveal a round purple circle. I quickly covered it when the door opened. John Luke stood in the doorway, with a worrid look on his face.

"Can you go get your mom?" I asked him. He nodded and went off to find Korie.

"Sadie I don't know what to do. I didn't expect him to punch me, I said and I quote 'No, get off me'." She nodded and paced around.

"What's wrong?" Asked Korie as she ran through the doors I unwrapped my arms so she could see the damage.

"Who did that to you?" Asked John Luke as he ran through the door. I covered the wound again as he ran up to me.

"Its nothing." i said as I walked away from the group.

"It's something, becuse that looks seriouse." Korie said as she pointed her finger.

"Nick." I said as I hid my eyes," Nick punched me." I said as I felt my salty tear go down my cheek.

"Oh. Baby its okay, you two broke up a long time ago." Korie said as she came up and hugged me. I cried into he shoulder and let the tears flow.

I finally had to let go so I could breath and put on my big girl face. I took in a big breath and wiped away my tears.Thank you Sadie for the water proof mascara. I fluffed my hair and I started walking out.

"Okay lets go." I said as I walked through the door. John Luke gave me his jacket so I could cover the growing bruise. They all nodded and followed me towards the door. Once out I looked around, and thanked God because Nick was no where to be found. I walked with Sadie and John Luke over to our table. I sat down and gulped down my sweet tea, I looked at John Luke who couldn't take his eyes off me. His expression was a worried one, I put my hand on his arm and he looked at me.

"John Luke, I'm okay." It will go away. I said as he took my hand off his shoulder and into his.

"I will find him and-and once I get done with him-"I made him face me, I looked into his eyes and brushed a hair away from his face.

"Please, don't" I said as he placed his hand over mine that was now on his cheek.

"I promise."
