~Abby's POV~

"Alright," I said loudly. The boys were beginning to get out of control. Louis broke my lamp! "Liam, let go of Zayn. Zayn, keep your teeth to yourself. Harry, PUT YOUR SHIRT BACK ON. Louis, quit screaming! I just love Niall like a brother!" I looked at Niall out of the corner of my eye. "Well, as far as you lads know." I mumbled that last part, not wanting to be overheard. I noticed that Niall looked sadder than before I yelled. I was about to ask him what was wrong, but at that moment Louis came up to me.

"I'm sorry, Abby," he seemed sincere. "I'll buy you a new lamp. Hell, I'll buy you a better one. No offense, but that was a piece of shit."

I feigned anger and disbelief. "Louis, even in the short time I have known you, I did not expect you to be such an arrogant jerk!" I turned on the heels and began to walk away from him. Louis was quick and grabbed my arm, and I saw a hurt look on his face.

"No! I didn't mean it! My sincere apologies madam." He bowed to me. I giggled and he smiled up at me. He stood up straight and punched my shoulder lightly. "You're a pretty good actress. Did you ever partake in theatre?"

"Who said I was acting?"

"Well, I dabbled in theatre when I was younger, and you know the saying, 'takes one to know one'." I smirked at him.

"This will make no sense, but you're pretty smart for being so stupid. But I suppose you get that a lot. Well, at least the stupid part." I winked at him and he laughed as I plopped down on the sofa next to Niall. "So what do you wanna do now, Nialler?"

"Well," he smiled. "I was going to ask you if you would like to spend the day with me, but I was rudely interrupted before I could. I know it's nine in the morning, but I had something planned out in my head. However, if you would like stick around here with these four freaks, I suppose we could do that as well."

"Hmm," I pretended to dwell on my decision, as if I was second-guessing myself, although I knew my answer straight away. "Well, I would love to hang out with my best friend…but the boys sure have won me over. I believe that I can't decide boys!"

"Please!" Louis begged, getting on his knees. "Stay with us! Don't leave me here with these weirdos!"

"Hey!" Harry exclaimed.

"Quiet, Curly," Louis said, still pleading. He gave me puppy-dog eyes. "I'll love you more than carrots!"

"Yeah," Zayn muttered. "And we're the weirdos." He rolled his eyes and I stifled a laugh. Louis stood up, grabbed a pillow that was next to me on the sofa, and chucked it at him. "Woah, watch the hair Lou!" Zayn smirked at me and I was unable to contain my laughter any longer.

"You lads are all weirdos!" I smiled as I ruffled Niall's hair. "Even little Nialler!" Niall smiled back at me.

"Ni, I thought you said she was shy," Liam said curiously.

"Apparently," Niall said while looking me over. "She has gotten over that. She was extremely shy around me! Maybe it's because I'm so good looking." He winked at me and I pretended to swoon.

"Whatever floats your boat Nialler," I poked his arm playfully.

"Water is what floats my boat," he replied cheekily.

"Don't be a smartass."

"Watch your language missy!"

"Don't tell me what to do!"

Niall laughed as he started tickling me. I squealed. The downside of being tickled by your crush: if he also happens to be your best friend, he knows your most ticklish spots. I screeched and fell off of the couch, hitting my head on the coffee table in the process. All of the boys rushed over to help me up, but Niall got to me first. He pulled me up onto his lap and brushed my hair behind my ear. He looked worried. "You okay? Please, please tell me you're okay. But if you aren't okay, tell me. I don't want you to be hurt."
