It Means A Lot

The next day in rehearsals, Joe noticed that the ring was off of Idina's hand.

"Is everything okay with Taye?" Joe asked cautiously.

"Um, let's just say that I made the wrong decision about saying yes to the proposal," Idina said as she stood next to Kristin.

"Do you wanna talk about it?"

        "Not right now, Joe."

"Okay. Listen, you guys can warm up, I gotta talk to Stephen about something."

        "Okie dokie," Kristin said cheerfully.

Joe went to talk to Stephen on the opposite side of the room.

"Hey, Stephen, is something going on between Idina and Kristin? They've been acting weird lately."

"Well, let's just say that a week before Idina's engagement to Taye, I heard her and Kristin talking about something," Stephen responded.

"What were they saying?"

"They were saying stuff like, 'we can't do this.' and 'we're straight, aren't we?' I even heard Taye's name mentioned."

"What did they say about him?" Joe asked eagerly.

"Kristin said, 'don't you have Taye?' and Idina said 'Fuck Taye.' She went on to say something like, 'I don't care about him. All I care about right now is you and I.'

"And....?"

"And then the conversation kinda died, but I heard Kristin moan right before I left and gave them some privacy."

"Wow. Our leads are gay?"

"Apparently so. I'm thinking of talking to Kristin about it later. I don't know. Anyway, did you get those notes I e-mailed to you?"

"Yup."

Norbert was watching Idina and Kristin out of the corner of his eye. He noticed that they had become closer after Idina broke it off with Taye.

They're not gay. Norbert thought. Right? I mean, if they were, I'd be okay with it.

Out of nowhere, Idina grabbed Kristin's ass, making Kristin jump. Everyone noticed this. Stephen cleared his throat loudly. "Um, girls, we're gonna run through The Wizard and I. Idina, it would be much appreciated if you would stop grabbing your girlfriend's ass and started working. Thank you."

Both girls giggled and blushed from the statement. Idina walked to the "stage" part of the room with Carole Shelley.

Norbert walked over to Kristin and made a scissoring motion with his hands.

"Shut it, Norbert."

"I'd tap that."

"I have tapped that." Kristin said with a wink and a giggle.

"Kristin, you know that I'm here for you whenever you need me. You're one of best friends. I'm always here for you. No matter what. And I will support you and Idina through thick and thin."

"Aww, same goes for you! And thank you for supporting us. It means a lot. I just gotta tell my parents now."

"How do you think they'll react?"

"I think mama will accept me. I don't know about daddy though. He was always more on the conservative side of the fence."

"I'm sure he'll accept you. You're still his little girl. Shouldn't you tell your brother too?"

"Oh yeah. I should probably tell him too."

"Well, like I said, if you need to talk about anything, I'm always here."

"Thank you so much!"
