•|a game of chess|•

Start from the beginning

mr.lee looked around the class and kept on speaking,

"this is the problem with you girls,
you can't keep any control over yourself, if you decide to take up a career in such a tough field you should get your priorities right,"

aera looked like she was going to cry,
being scolded was one thing but being insulted this way in public was another,

"i am not putting you all down but no one is going to believe you have potential until you show that you are perfect in everything

but you all are SO NON-EFFICIENT and that's exactly the reason why there are very less powerful women,"

aera bowed and apologised while the arrogant proffessor just waved his hand in denial,

"don't be apologetic to me, you should be, to
your parents who raised and wasted money on a liability like you, see me in my office later,"

{A/N: dont be sorry to me,be sorry to your friends 🙄🙄🙄}

so fucking harsh for a single assignment,
seo thought to herself and she was anxious about what was going to happen to cai,

what if he calls her parents up?
what if he reduces credit points for this?

he continued to call some names out and make a mockery out of them
and the next roll. number was cai,

but he didn't call her name out,
cai turned to her friends with a shocked expression on her face .

and before she could say something,
they heard him say,

"park juhyun, kindly stand up,did you not submit the assignment?"

everyone was pretty shocked since
no matter the trouble juhyun got into,
she never fell back on completing her work or getting high grades,

everyone awaited for her response

"yes sir i didn't submit it,"she said in the most brazen tone possible.

everyone knew she was very bold and impudent to most of the people,
even proffessors,

yet she had never been that way with mr.lee,

"what did you just say juhyun?"

"i said i didn't finish the assignment,"

"and is there a valid reason for it,"

"definitely sir,
the deadline you set up for us was extremely congested,we have six other subjects and most of us here have part time jobs to attend to,

even if i sat the whole night and worked on it i wouldn't have completed it in the best way,"

she paused to take a breath,
she looked around at her friends and everyone else looking at her in fearful astoundment

she knew what their stares meant,
you are going to be in big trouble,

yet she resumed,
"in conclusion, due to the fact that my proffessor gave me a miscalculated time period, i was unable to finish such a sizable assignment,"
