"Y/n? Y/n, are you listening?" My best friend Yeona asked. She was rambling on about something and to be honest you weren't really listening.

"I'm sorry Yeona, can you repeat that? I spaced off." You said as you mentally cringed. You've been spacing out a lot lately and you could tell Yeona was getting irritated by it.

Yeona sighed and got up from the couch. "I asked if you could go out and get some groceries later. I think we should cook dinner instead of take-out." She said while walking over to the kitchen.

"Yeah sure, but why can't you go?" You questioned.

"Because my mother needs help shopping and I agreed to help." You nodded and turned to look at the tv. A skin care advertisement was playing.

You began to space off again but before we get into that let's get some background right? You weren't from Korea. Originally you were born in New York. Your father was from Korea while your mother wasn't. Once you were born your father Lee Iseul, thought it would be better for you to be raised in Korea. Your mother agreed, but now she's back in New York since your parents divorced.

You don't fail to visit her once or twice every year. But since you moved out of your fathers house you haven't seen him in months. Your mother offered for you to come and live with her but you declined, you stayed in Korea and that leads us to here.

Lee Y/n, 20 years old, occupation: college student.

Yeona's father was a Co-CEO for a big company so she has told you not to worry about rent since her father would handle it, so both of you could focus on college. Yeona's father was basically like your own so that somewhat made you and Yeona like sisters since you were so close.

You smiled at the thought but quickly got out of your own head as Yeona announced she was heading out. You said goodbye and got up to go to the kitchen.

On the counter Yeona left a list of groceries which was long, very long.

"How many groceries does this girl need?" You groaned thinking about how long this was going to take you. You grabbed the list and didn't bother getting dressed to go out. A hoodie and sweatpants would do.

~

Once you were finally done grocery shopping you were trying to process how the hell you would carry all those bags. Looking outside the markets window it was pouring outside which caused you to groan.

"Are you serious?? My car is parked far away.." Putting your hoodie on you grabbed all the bags in both of your hands and made your way outside.

You got completely drenched in rain as you waited for the cars to stop passing by so you could cross.

"Do you need help?" A voice asked. You turned your head to see a male standing over you pointing to the bags.

"Help would be appreciated." You said while handing him some bags. He took them and simply looked ahead.

"Where's your car?" He asked.

"All the way on the other end." You said while looking both ways before beginning to cross. The man only followed until you finally reached your car.

"Thank you for your hel-"

"You shouldn't come out in the rain unprepared. You could get sick especially since it's pouring. Buy an umbrella or something." The man said while putting the bags down.

"Well I didn't know it was going to rain." You said while beginning to load the bags in your car. "But thank you for your concern.." you trailed off waiting for the man to state his name.

"Yeonjun. Choi Yeonjun." He said while pushing his hands into his pockets.

"Thank you Yeonjun." You smiled while waving him off as he walked away.

Once he was gone you sighed and sat in your car before pulling out of the parking lot and making your way home.

~
Stumbling into your apartment, you let go of the bags with a sigh of relief.

Looking down at your clothes, you were completely drenched from the rain. You took off your shoes and left them at the door as you looked around for your best friend.

"Yeona! I'm back with groceries!" You called out. Silence. Weird she should've been home by now. You thought as you walked over to her room.

You pushed the door open without a thought and saw Yeona with her boyfriend, Beomgyu making out on her bed.

"AH IM SORRY!" You yelled as you quickly shut the door rushing over to your room to hide.

Closing the door behind you, you tried to get the image out of your head. Why couldn't she had texted me to give me a heads up. You rubbed your temples as you remembered you were still drenched.

Taking off your clothes and scattering them across the floor, you walked to the bathroom to take a shower.

Once out of the shower you got changed into a tshirt and some shorts and walked out of your room to find Yeona and Beomgyu in the living room.

"Oh, hey y/n!" Yeona said while nervously smiling.

Beomgyu only smiled and waved.

You stared at both of them with a blank expression laid across your face.

"Hey." Was all you said before walking to the kitchen.

Yeona and Beomgyu just shrugged and went back to watching some movie that Beomgyu suggested.

A few hours later Beomgyu left since it was getting late. Yeona gave him a goodbye kiss and once he was gone looked over at you laying on the couch.

"Y/n, sorry about not giving you a heads up that Beomgyu was coming over." Yeona began, "I came home early and I got lonely so, I called him over." She said while laying next to your figure.

You smiled and patted her shoulder. "It's okay Yeona, just let me know so I don't walk into you guys fu-,"

"Y/n!"

You laughed as you rolled over to your back, and stared at the ceiling before you got a text message.
