Why was her luck always the worst? It was bad enough her lack of growth resulted in her developing less muscle, which resulted in her being physically weaker than her comrades. She couldn't even hold a full-bladed sword properly which is why her's was a stinger nichirin katana, it was lighter, modified so someone of her size could hold it. It had to be lighter.

Yet.

Why did it have to break when she fought him?

The most powerful demon she ever came across. Upper Moon two: Douma. It just had to break when she fought him, the demon that killed her sister and had eaten countless women in the area she was currently in. She expected to fight a powerful demon but not any of the twelve kizuki, let alone Upper moon two. He had this strange look of glee on his face when he used his blood demon art to break her sword, it ended up slicing deep into her abdomen, it came so fast she didn't know she had been hit till she felt tired of all of the sudden and a warm liquid running down her abdomen. What misfortune brought about her tonight. She wanted her vengeance but none of her poisons were working. Why? Just why had her life had to be filled with misfortune?

Her insect breathing was useless, her poison didn't work, her sword broke, she was injured, it was hopeless. If she was going to die then she would die fighting him, she wasn't going to beg for her life. Her legs trembled but she stood her ground, her world was spinning and it felt as though there was pressure in her brain. She watched as he stalked his way toward her, his fan covering his face, all but his eyes, which peaked from the top of those sharp fans.

He slightly advanced to her, which automatically made her take a couple of steps backward. Her head was proudly lifted, and she was trying her best to look as fearless and angered as she could before him. But the look on his face, in the middle of the woods with the two of them alone. She stood in front of him in her bloodied hashira uniform, it made her certain she was going to die.

She gave him the coldest stare she could muster, her eyes narrowed at him and tight lips indicate anger.

"Just do it already," she hissed at him.

The demon stopped in his tracks and set his fans down, tilting his head with a puzzled expression but still wore that friendly smile, his features relaxed, and softly gazed into her big, purple eyes, which were still bravely looking straight at him, though were starting to get wet.

"Do what?" He asked coyly with a playful smirk. Then without waiting for anything further the distance between them was erased in less than a second he was towering over her, she had no time to react, not even to blink or express her shock when he grabbed her head tightly with his hands and imprinted his burning lips onto hers.

It hurts.

A sudden instance of shock hit the pillar so hard it felt as though her mind ceased to function. Shinobu froze. Time around her moves in a way that's so slow, it's almost frozen, it freezes her body in this never-ending shock in her mind. His lips on her, he's kissing her, his lips are practically smashing against her to gain access to her mouth. The silence in her end was deafening, no thought, no action, nothing. The insect pillar can't even process what's happening, only that it is. The coldness was colder and darkness was darker, even the moon failed to shine on her, Douma was much taller than she was so his body blocked her view of it.

"Mpphmmm?!" Her muffled voice let out.

It wasn't until his tongue stroked her lips greedily that she snapped back to reality and realized what was going on. Shinobu tried to scream in pain and disgust, but it only opened her mouth wide enough for the demon's tongue to enter. Shinobu was becoming increasingly uncomfortable as the act progressed. Douma's hold tightened as his kiss became more akin to a wild animal tearing apart its prey. The girl went numb, experiencing only the demon's rapid heartbeat, erratic breaths, and his longing tongue that wanted to delve deeper and deeper into her. With the way he shoved his tongue down her throat and moved it around made her choke, she could only breathe heavily through her nose. His lips were still pressed onto hers as he breathed out heavily several times and then lightly bit her down lip, Shinobu feared he would bite her lip off. Then he was finally ready to break the kiss, softly pulling his tongue away from her and loosening his grip on her. He drew away from her after a few moments, smirking, happy, and ecstatic with his achievement.
