Yoonhee smiled at the two. She loves seeing Suryeon happy with her children. The brunette had a lot of regrets and often see herself as a bad mom. She hopes that a little bit of that feeling has gone away.
"Ms. Oh, you should eat lunch with us." Seokkyung said as they exit the store with a bunch of art materials in tow.
"It's okay, Rona must be waiting for me."
"But Rona told me she's going on a date." The redhead's jaw dropped. She had no idea that her daughter started dating.
Suryeon saw the redhead's expression. Her eyes shifted to Seokkyung who was wearing a playful smile. She knows that look.
"Seokkyung, stop that." She shot her daughter a glare. The girl rolled her eyes at her mom.
"I'm just kidding. She's with Jenny. I talked to her a while ago."
Yoonhee inhaled deeply. Rona said that Seokkyung has always been playful but she didn't know that she will act like this towards her. The younger girl was cold towards her in the past and she could tell she didn't liked her.
When they had finished eating, Seokkyung dragged the two somewhere. The couple was confused but they let the younger girl drag them anyway. The girl finally stopped, she faced the two women and grinned at them.
"Seokkyung, why are we at an arcade?"
"Well, I'm going abroad soon and I won't be able to see you. I want us to bond at least."
"But you know I don't know how." Suryeon answered.
The younger girl pouted, disappointed at her mom's answer.
"Why don't you try it, unnie? There are easy games that you can try." Yoonhee suggested.
The younger girl's face lit up and looked at her mother expectantly. The taller woman sighed and looked at her daughter, her eyes are twinkling. She turn to Yoonhee who gestured for her to agree.
"Fine." Seokkyung squealed in delight. She pulled her mother towards the arcade. The shorter woman was left behind. She chuckled and followed them inside.
The mother and daughter tried all kinds of games. It was a new experience for Suryeon. She barely remember how to have fun after all that happened. After a few more games, she was exhausted. It was hard for her to match her daughter's energy.
Seokkyung dragged her mother to another game. It was an arcade hoops. Suryeon sighed, she was so tired already but her daughter seems to have unlimited energy. Yoonhee approached her and looked at her worriedly.
"Are you okay?" Suryeon nodded and gave her a reassuring smile.
After trying several times, Seokkyung gave up on her mother. She can't even score one point.
"I told you I can't do it."
Seokkyung sighed. The game isn't fun when there's no competition. Her eyes caught the redhead who was handing her mother a bottled water.
"Ms. Oh, can you play with me?"
Yoonhee was shocked by the girl's sudden invitation. Rona and her often played this game when her daughter was younger. She thought for a moment and decided that there's no harm in granting Seokkyung's request.
"Sure."
Suryeon eyed the redhead. Her daughter and her girlfriend are both competitive. 'This is going to be fun' she thought as a smile formed on her lips.
