"How many times do I have to fall before I get it right?" Breathless and disgustingly sweaty I was ready to go home. Dancing the same damn dance for the past hour and half, has taken its toll. "I can tell you right now Gulie I'm going to call it quits and head home," I tell my best friend. As she finally takes a seat to quench her thirst and head out, she gives me a pleading look.

"Absolutely not. I'm not doing it again. I've got tons of homework and a project to finish." Guliana finally sighs in defeat and grabs her bags. "That's what I thought because you'd have no other way to get home." I can gloat for actually having my license and she does not. At the same time, we take a sharp intake of breath walking out into the Vegas Winter Air is painfully bitter especially giving the fact we're both covered with sweat.

When we finally get into my 2014 KIA Soul, Gulie starts the heater and practically yells, "Holy shit! I forgot that Las Vegas has the most bipolar weather ever! I swear it literally was ninety degrees two days ago." I shake my head at her because she's being ridiculously loud in my tiny car. "I told you it’s a valley so when its cold its like a bitter, dry cold. Now if you don’t mind: Stop yelling in my car!" I screech back into her ear. I start to pull out of the parking lot when the car starts ringing.

"Of course it's my mother," I say with a tiny bit of annoyance. "Hello Mother. How's it going ma?"

"Hey sweetie, what time are you coming home? I hope you don’t stay to long at school. Is Guliana with you?" She knows I'm always with her so Gules decides to answer her. "Great! You're invited to dinner, like always. Well then I guess I'll see the two of you soon. Love you girls." We hang up after saying bye. I turn up the radio and start to jam out to songs I used to really enjoyed until they were over played. Technically we aren’t jamming out, just obnoxiously making fun of the song.

"LYDIA!" I slam on the breaks from Guliana's scream. Thank God I stopped when I did or I would of hit the guy walking across the street. He just stared at Gules and I as he strolled in front of my car. Hands in his sweater and a green beanie warming his hair; the guy continued to just stare. The next thing I did even had Gulie a little shocked. I was just so intrigued; why he was walking in this shit weather. Or why we had eye contact until he finally made it on the other side of the road. So I made a quick right and pulled up next to him.

            "Do you need a ride?"
