Back in the mix:
It's like since Baby was killed small truths have been jumping out of the woodwork. Mecca fucking Jewel's sister. Now that every deceit had become known to Money all he did was keep a tight grip on every shift. Nine kept her distance and funded the operation while Mecca did the footwork using Rasta and her team to clean up the mess they'd made. Money kicked himself for still loving Nina even after seeing the role she played in this shit.
"Man, Jewel, what do you want?" Money barked into his cell phone.
"I want to talk to you, Tyrell. Damn." She gawked.
"About what?"
"Jim is getting crazy. I'm beginning to think this is too much."
"That's your brother. Handle it."
"Money, please..." Jewel said using his street tag.
"Money?" He repeated in disgust. "Why do you keep calling me about Jim yo? What you want- for me to kill him?"
"I love you."
He ignored her. "Bruh, stop constantly calling me."
"Wow." Jewel huffed. "I shouldn't need a reason to call you."
"Listen. Don't call me for nothing, I mean nothing, outside of our money and our unborn baby, yo."
"Tyrell, you don't love me any more."
"I do, but I'm not comfortable with you now and after all this shit I'm not tryna get comfortable. So don't call my phone, Jewel."
"Are you serious?"
"For nothing." He repeated then hung up without another word.
Money glanced back at his son, Palace, sleeping soundly in the car seat in his Lexus. His deep dimples sunk in as a snore seeped from his small pink lips. He covered Palace with his blanket and focused on the road.
In minutes he was pulling into Crest Maynor. A lush neighborhood sitting on the edge of Buckhead. The Lexus slid in a private garage and Money gathered the baby and his things.
When Money walked through the foyer he could hear Nina and her aunt Suga in the living room. The two were laughing and listening to music as they talked. He strolled in and bypassed the women, taking Palace directly to his bedroom upstairs. At one the boy had a room fit for a prince. Nina wouldn't have it any other way. His room was filled with cars, LEGO's and right beside his bed sat a huge ball pit for play.
Money made sure his son was settled in before returning down the staircase.
"What's up, Auntie?" Money said kissing Suga on the cheek. He smoothly sat beside Nina.
"Heeeyyy, Tyrell!" She grinned, "Where's auntie baby?"
"Upstairs sleeping." He said.
"Oh! My goodness. I should go squeeze his fat cheeks and wake him up!"
"Please don't." Nina urged.
"I will if I want." Suga assured them.
Nina laughed her aunt off, "Why are you here so early? I've still got to head to the office."
"I gotta holla at you about something." Money said to Nina.
"About what?"
"Some other shit..."
"If it's not about my baby or a bag then we have nothing to talk about." Nina told him sarcastically.
"Definitely a bag. Quit playing."
