"Like what Dantae did to me before." The younger woman took a deep breath. The mention of the name terrified her, but she kept her cool and continue listening to her.

"I felt frustrated because I couldn't do anything. It brought me back to those 16 years of being manipulated and controlled, without knowing anything."

Hot tears started streaming down her face, she gripped the redhead's shirt tighter. The younger woman hugged her tightly.

"You had no control of what happened then, and you had no control of what happened earlier either."

"No. But I am such a fool. Do I look that weak that people always try to control and deceive me?" Suryeon asked, her voice breaking.

"You're not weak. Bad people will always try to deceive other people no matter how you may appear." Suryeon bit her lip, tears continue to fall from her eyes. She gulped as she realized something.

"I'm sorry."

"You don't have to say sorry, it's not your fault."

The taller woman didn't respond to this. The redhead adjusted herself so they were face to face. She tried to look at her in the eyes but the older woman avoided her gaze.

"I also manipulated you back then."

The younger woman sighed, she really didn't like talking about their past. She can't bear the pain and the heavy feeling that comes with it. She finally found Suryeon's eyes, it displays a mixture of sadness and guilt.

"You forgive me for betraying you, right?" She asked, her voice shaking, afraid of what her respond will be.

The brunette nodded, not sure where Yoonhee was going with this. The younger woman took a deep breath.

"Then I already forgive you for using me." The sincerity in her eyes was enough to reassure the older woman.

Suryeon snuggle closer to her. Yoonhee tightened her arms around the brunette and spoke.

"I know the last promise we made with each other didn't turn out well but..." She paused, closing her eyes and taking in a deep breath as she continued,

"Let's try our best not to hurt each other in the future, okay?" The brunette looked up at her, she smiled at her and nodded.

The redhead yawned to which the older woman chuckled at. She pulled the covers over them.

"Let's sleep."

Logan was waiting to meet the reporter. He can't bear seeing Suryeon so happy with the redhead. If he can't have her, no one else can. He looked at his wristwatch, his company was late.

"Logan?" He quipped his head up when someone called him.

"Rona?" The younger girl gave him a bright smile. He invited her to his table.

"I haven't seen you in so long, how are you?" Rona asked, thrilled to see him.

"I am fine." He smiled warmly at her. She had always reminded him of Seola. Her staying in the U.S. with him made him felt like he was taking care of a sister. A thing he never got a chance to do with Seola.

"How about you?"

"More than happy. Especially now that mom seems to be contended and at peace." The younger girl declared, beaming.

"Really? That's good." He said, feigning a smile.

"Thank you." Rona reached out for his hand and gave it a squeeze. Logan looked at her, confused.

"You helped mom even when you thought she killed Seola. I'm also thankful to you for taking care of me back then. You're one of the reasons why we finally found peace now."

"I'll study diligently and make Seola and you proud."

Logan felt a surge of guilt in his chest. Rona looked so happy when talking about her mom and here he is planning on ruining Yoonhee's peace. Despite the guilt, he still can't accept the idea of Suryeon and Yoonhee. He was supposed to make Suryeon happy. It was his sister's last wish.

The younger girl bid him goodbye, saying she has to meet one of her classmates. The timing was impeccable, the moment the girl departed, the reporter finally arrived.

"So, you want me to expose Shim Suryeon and Oh Yoonhee... Let's see, what headline can catch the public's attention." The reporter rambled as he type away in his laptop.

Logan took a deep breath, he was deep in thought. There should be a way to separate the two without having to ruin the redhead's life completely. He despised Yoonhee, but seeing Rona so happy made him feel guilty.

"I change my mind. I want you to do something else."
