The world is in its 100594th year, and many believe this year may be its last. Since the beginning of the world, the gods and goddesses of the heavens have ruled over it watching its people, but today they have met their match. A terrifying monster had appeared destroying everything in its path constantly climbing up to the gods to challenge their might. Many people speculated the creature to be over a thousand feet tall with the wings of a gargoyle, the legs of a reptile, the upper body of a human, the head of a bull, and holding two gigantic destructive axes. With its wings, the monster could fly past the clouds to reach the gods to fight them. His motives were never known, but everyone believed the creature was a being of pure unreasonable rage and thought it needed no reason to do anything it did. Despite how ferocious and powerful the Minotaur was, time and time again the gods and goddesses of the heavens would defeat the monster, but every time he lost, the monster would just return with even more power. The gods and goddesses were said to have the power to control the entire world, but alone they could not kill a creature like this. The Minotaur survived everything: from being sliced to ribbons, shot to oblivion, drowned and crushed under the extreme pressures of the ocean, and tossed into the fiery depths of hell. No form of brute force could stop this monster until a small group of gods banded together to seal the Minotaur away forever. They couldn't use a prison comprised of pure magical god-like energy something of that magnitude needed the involvement of every god and goddesses. As a result, they chose a human being. With their combined power, they captured the monster, strengthened the human's body enough to hold and keep the power under control, and sealed the creature away in the human. The five gods and goddesses sacrificed their lives for the world they helped create, but in reality, they made the situation worse. In their haste, they failed to realize that they put the strongest thing they ever saw into the body of a Zeroichi.
The Zeroichis are a family of gangsters, drug dealers, murderers, witches, treasonous knights, thieves, and serial killers. And the man they chose was no different from his ancestors. Even though he could never reach the domain of the gods above or the realm of the demons below, the man harnessed the power he was "given" and went on a rampage. Destroying villages, burning towns, killing innocent people, decimating an entire country, and ruining the life of every poor soul that dared to cross his path. The man's sea of carnage went on for five long blood-filled years until he was finally captured and sentenced to death by the gallows. For some unknown reason, the power he was granted was being drained from him. Nevertheless, the man took pride in his work and came to an immediate conclusion. As a soldier read out his crimes aloud to an esteemed crowd and with the rope tightly secured around his neck and an evil smile across his face, the Zeroichi clansman walked to the edge of the gallows and jumped off. Strangling he told the world, "My spawn will rise and finish what I started. You worthless bastards have every right to fear the Zeroichi name. I can't wait to see the rest of you fuckers in hell." In the year 100599, the entire world saw the final member of the Zeroichi clan meet his end at the gallows with his eyes wide open and a crooked smile on his face. Hardly anyone believed what the Zeroichi man said. It wasn't the first time a crazed lunatic on death row made a disturbing "curse" on the world he lived or on the people who "wronged" him. Brushing off his threat, the people of the world began to restore everything he tried to destroy, but little did everyone know, the man's last words may have had more truth to them than anyone realized.
This is the story of a man who could have easily gone down the same path as his father, who along with many of his closest friends were denied justice at very young ages, and who will incorporate new customs into his clan that were never considered before and will carry on for generations to come. This is the story of the first member of the brand new Zeroichi clan, Zero.
<23 years later>
A man with dark red hair, five feet six inches tall, in a dirty white shirt with blue short sleeves and an even dirtier pair of blue jeans with a revolver in his left pocket and a desert eagle in his right is walking through a town. The town itself is no different from the rest he's seen growing up. Prostitutes lined up on the street corners, drunken idiots in the middle of the street just thrown out of their favorite bar, and random bastards snorting or buying their favorite drugs from gangsters. They aren't his main concern. The only thing this particular man cared about was the picture of a young boy he was holding in both of his hands and studying very closely. The man got a tip from an old associate of his that the boy was last seen around this dusty old town about a day ago. The man could easily ask the people around the place for help, but he completely refutes the ridiculous idea. The less the people around him know about the boy, who the boy's father is, or the bounty on the child the better. Feeling thirsty, the man heads to a nearby bar for a quick drink before he begins his assignment. Kicking a passed out drunken idiot out of his way, the man pushes open the swinging doors of the bar. With all the other customers glaring at him, the man simply walks up to the bar and orders himself a drink. While his drink was being prepared, the man sees a kid trying to hide his face with a hood, but before the child could, the man saw that the boy had a striking resemblance to the picture of the boy in his pocket. Refusing to pass up such a lead, the man immediately forgot about his drink, left the bar and began tailing him.
