"Artemis! Get down here and do your chores. I have to go into town to neet your father at the train station, your sister is outside picking wildflowers for the table. I'll be back in two hours, and you'd better be here!" Artemis replies," Yes mother, don't rush, for your health worries me." Her mother bobbed her head in response.
" Ah," Artemis sighed as she layed down next to standing Elizabeth, older sister," Doesn't it feel good to be free of that prison? Being able to do whatever feels good!" Elizabeth bent over to pick a flower," Well, I suppose, but I don't think ladies should prance around in fields for " fun" , I think needlepoint is enough " fun" for me." Artemis laghed and stood up," I beg to differ. Mother wants the laundry hung up on the line. I'm going the the river on the property line, bye!" "Wait! You can't just.............leave me," Elizabeth sighed as she watched her younger sister fade into the tall grasses.
