"At the hospital" her dad said
"At the hospital? What happened to her??" she started to get confused, she didn't want to revive the same expirience as 3 years ago, when she was 8
"None of your business" he coldly answered
"BUT SHE'S MY MU-" SLAP
"I SAID NONE OF YOUR BUISNESS" as he yelled, Y/N started to tear up
At the hospital
"I'm so sorry to inform you that Mrs. Suzuki has a really bad case of cancer in her lungs" hearing those words, Y/N ran away with her dad calling her, but she didn't care, all she wanted was to have a normal life with the only person left she loved.
It was too much, especially for a 11 years old girl.
She was in front of the hospital door when a hand grabbed really tight her right arm: it was her dad's.
"I DON'T WANT IT! LET ME GO! LET ME GO!" she screamed, but her dad kept walking not giving a damn about her daughter.
As soon as she saw her mother on the medical bed, Y/N collapsed, not being able to take something like that.
First her dad and then her mum, she was pretty sure that Mrs. L/N wouldn't do it.

"Take this" Y/N's dad handed her a yellow pill when they came back from the hospital.
"What's that?" she asked.
"Just take it" he said.
"NO" Y/N yelled.
"JUST EAT IT ALREADY, GODDAMN!" he made her swallow it.

The next day, at school
There were steps in the corridor, and anyone could assume that they belonged to a nervous person.
Y/n looked at the door and then entered the classroom.
"Kids, I have to announce you that from today on, you'll have a new classmate" the teacher said.
Everyone looked confused.
"A new classmate? She's the second one this week" a girl with blue eyes and black hair said.
"Maybe we'll be able to have fun with her as well" everyone started laughing at what a boy with black hair and green eyes said... Everyone except for a strowberry-haired girl who was reading a book, did she at least heard the announcement?
"Please, Y/n, go and take a sit nearby Shouko Nishymia, the girl with strowberry hair" the teacher told Y/n, and so she did.
Y/n touched Shouko's shoulder, since she didn't hear Y/n calling her.
Shouko looked at the h/c girl and greeted her with a bright smile.
'Hello, my name is Shouko' was written in a notebook.
'I can't hear you or talk very well 'couse I'm deaf' as soon as she read those words, Y/n's eyes widened.
"Y-you're dea- oh, right" she started talking, but she soon realized that it was useless, so she wrote in Shouko's notebook instead.
'It's nice to meet you, Shouko!' she gave her deaf friend a big smile, who smiled back.
Then Shouko did some signs with her hands pointing a finger at Y/n, then at her and then auto-shaking her hands. Y/n didn't get it at first, but the she understood.
"You wanna be friends with me??" she asked. Shouko nooded.
"I-I mean, I can't see why not, so yeah! I'll be friends with you!" Y/n already made a friend, she couldn't believe it.

'Y/n, do you wanna hang out in my place after school?' Shouko wrote on her notebook. Y/n looked at her and then replied with a 'sure!'.
"Thank you so much!" Y/n said.
'Your welcome' Shouko signed.

That evening, Y/n passed the time playing table games and learning some signs with Shouko.
Later at Y/n's house
"Dad, I'm ho-" SLAP SLAP SLAP SLAP
"P-PLEASE STOP! I'M S-SORRY!" SLAP

"Mr. Suzuki, Y/n is been acting strange lately: she's been isoleting herself from everyone and she often trembles. We suppose that she's being abused by someone, probably you"
"..."
"That's impossible. I treated her the best since her mother passed away! I gave her home and food! She's the disrespectful one!"
"Mr. Suzuki, you're officially arrested for giving drugs and sexual abusing your child"
"LIARS!"
"We'll see who's the liar in front of the judge"
"I'LL COME BACK!"

'Y/n is kindly requested to go to the principal office'
"Uh?" Y/n asked in a confused tone.
"Just go, no?" Shoya told her.
"S-sure" empty eyes filled the room with sadness while the students looked Y/n getting closer to the door and crossing it.

When school ended, no one saw Y/n coming out.
"Maybe she's already at Shouko's place" Kawai said.
"Shouko is here" replied Ueno.
"Shoya? Earth to Shoya! You there??" Kazuki snapped Shoya into reality.
"U-UH? Y-YEAH!" yelled Shoya.
"Hey hey hey! There's no need to be that loud" Kazuki shut him "Do you know anything about Y/n?"
"Nope, nothing. I was just wondering what happened to her" he said "We'll know it tomorrow, now let's go to the bridge, I need some fresh water".
"I agree" Kazuki said, still thinking about Y/n.
