Many years ago there was a story about the slit mouth woman and this is how it started

Long ago there was this beautiful woman every day should go around to every household and ask the men a simple question "am i pretty" they would look at her and there answer would always be "yes you are".

one day her husband found her cheating on him he got so Serious and he wanted revenge so one day when she was alone he crept behind her holding a knife and attacked her she split her mouth open and watched her bleed and said "who would think you pretty now".

she died.

And return back to earth as a vengeful spirit called Kuchisake-onna the slit mouth woman.

If you were on lucky enough to see her she would be wearing a mask looking at you then she would've put you and say "am I pretty" if you say no she would take out her scissors and kill you on the spot, but if you say "yes" she will slowly remove her mask showing her slit mouth and she will say "am i pretty know..." If you answer no she will kill you but if you answer yes she will slit your mouth to be just like her's.

a few years later high school children figured out a way to trick her when she asks you "am i pretty" you say "so so" that will confuse her and will give you enough time for you to run.
