Before I start I'd like to speak a statement of our current events
Black Lives Matter
Is the quote that starters this writers pen
Cause Black life's do matter
Of course they do
This shouldn't have to be said
For black lives built a country
Bare backed, shackled
and hardly ever feed
A Congregation of colored skin lacerated
from lands they knew so well
Packed up and shipped off only to be auctioned off and sold
By the hands of a man that calls this hell
"A brand new world"
Lives of promising achievements follow only to be outshined
By the same people that would systematically hang your head for equality thinking in no time.
Centuries of mistreatment and torture
Had us adapt pain and few lines
To assure the safety of our children
coming home
every night for dinner time
How to not get locked up
"Hands up don't shoot"
No sudden moments
No justice
All(little) truth
Announce everything you reach for
Pause and give room
No aggression
Stay quiet
For badges numbers use zoom
But
Black Lives Matter
Yea sure they do.
Where was all this love when we had to formulate our unwritten rules?
When we got blowed up
And burned for trying to improve
When your communities grew
And ours went from neighborhoods to hoods
When did we matter?
Was it after Tulsa?
Rosewood?
Slocum?
Maybe it Jim Crow
Or the something to do with the red summer?
But Black Lives Matter
Only to whom?
Cause it don't seem to matter
To the politicians scheming us to our doom
Nor the crooked cops upholding the 2nd in their blues
And sadly not the playgrounds being light up like a forth of July skyline booms
My end point is this
Black Lives Matter
but not just from a different pigmented hand
They should matter to all
White, black, brown, and tan
They should matter from Congress to communities
Projects to private lands
They should matter to you just as much me
Like the person is question is your loving man
Cause If all lives matter then black ones matter too
We are all human
It's just the truth
despite the color race or roots
Your blood bleeds the same color as mine
So don't you think it's time
Peace.
