2nd book about Gawong. I took on a different angle so at the beginning for this story is they're already together. Rated SPG pa rin po so please for open minded people only. This might not be as good as my first story though but I'll try my best.
I went to the beach for some alone time. Trying to compose my thoughts too.
Buong araw ko inantay si Deanna na sabihin sakin yung usapan nila ng mommy nya pero wala. She's pretending like everything is okay.
We can't just stay here forever. Sooner or later, we're gonna have to face reality again. Ang tanong is, kaya naba namin?
There's no certainty.
On the other hand, if I do accept Lexie's offer, I won't have to face such harsh realities for a while.
Ano ba talagang gusto ko?
Well, I know what I want but I'm just not sure if I'm willing to risk it again.
"Hey." somebody said behind me.
She sat beside me on the sand.
"Are you okay?" she asked concerned.
"Yeah, I'm good" matipid na sagot ko.
"I never got to apologize for what I did back at the bar. Nahiya din kasi ako sa ginawa ko"
"It's all good. Don't worry about it."
"But Jema, I do worry about it. I worry about what you think of me because...because...well, I like you."
"Lex.."
"Look, I know what you're gonna say but just please hear me out. I never stopped thinking about you Jema. I thought I was gonna go crazy if I didn't see you again. That's why I came back."
I couldn't say anything. I'm just too overwhelmed with everything that's happening right now.
"Heck, I even told my parents about you and they're so excited to meet you, Jema. I could give you everything. Just tell me what you want. I'll do it. I swear." Lexie pleaded with me and took my hands in hers.
So her parents are okay with this.
"Lexie kasi-"
"WHAT THE HELL!!!"
Di na ako nakatapos. I heard Deanna yell from behind us.
"SCREW THIS!!! AND SCREW YOU!!!" she screamed while pointing a finger at Lexie.
"Deanna, it's not what you think"
But Deanna had already turned around and stormed off.
I immediately took a step to follow her but Lexie held on to my arm.
"Jema, can I just tell you something one last time?" she said and whispered something in my ear.
I just nodded at her and sinundan na si Deanna.
When I reached the villa, she wasn't there but I could see that she fixed the table up pretty well.
There were flowers and blown out candles with food plated splendidly.
Agad kong tinungo ang cottage nya.
When I opened the door, Deanna was looking out the window with her back turned.
"Baby, it's not what you think" I said soothingly.
"What are you trying to gaslight me now? I know what I saw." she said scathingly.
"Of course not, di naman sa ganun. Hayaan mo naman akong magpaliwanag b."
"What more is there to say? Kitang kita naman na gusto mo rin yung Lexie na yon! May pa hawak hawak pa ng kamay ha!"
"Deanna naman!"
"ANOOOO?! SASABIHIN MO SAKIN NA ANDUN KA KILA ATE LUCY TAS BIGLANG AKSIDENTENG ANDUN KA NA SA AGAD SA BEACH KASAMA ANG TANG INANG YON?! GANON BA? GANON BA KA BOBO ANG TINGIN MO SAKIN? I THOUGHT NO MORE SECRETS BETWEEN US, HUH?" sumigaw na si Deanna kaya di ko na rin mapigilan ipagtangol ang sarili ko.
"WOW! BOLD OF YOU TO TALK ABOUT SECRETS! KAILAN MO BALAK SABIHIN SAKIN NA HINDI NA PALA AKO TANGGAP NG PAMILYA MO HA?!" I rebutted.
"IBA YON! KAYA KONG AYUSIN YON!"
"TALAGA BA? I DON'T SEE ANY DIFFERENCE. IF THERE'S ANYONE HIDING SECRETS HERE, IT'S YOU!"
Deanna just rolled her eyes at me.
"I'm done trying to explain myself kung di ka rin lang makikinig." I said coldly and left.
"Fine! Just leave! Jan ka naman magaling eh!" I heard Deanna shout after me as I rapidly walked back to my villa.
May pa 'Promise I will try to tell you everything so we can talk about it' pa syang nalalaman tapos may mga lihim naman pala.
There it is. It's like we're back to where we started. Puro away na naman.
Hindi pa nga kami nakakabalik ng Manila nyan ha.
Nakakapagod na.
I took a shower at pinag isipan mabuti ang ibinulong sa akin ni Lexie kanina.
I think it's the least I can do for her.
Author's Note: Lexie andami na naming iniisip, dumagdag kapa. Ayan tuloy eksenang bangayan na naman ang dalawa.
At sayo Mareng Jema, sinong nagbigay sayo ng karapatang maging ganito ka cute matulog ha? Trust issues tuloy gf ko ba't daw bigla akong nag smile sa phone ko 🥲
