"You promised we wouldn't move while I was in high school" you whined to your mother.
"I know sweetie but I'm tired of living in the mountains, i'm ready for the ocean, you'll love it I promise"
you sighed and mumbled "here we go again" under your breath.
You'd never had a place to call home, ever since you were in kindergarten.
Your mom had a tendency to get bored of living in one place for too long. She liked to call it her 'free spirited nature' but for you it meant making new friends every two months.
Once you'd finally get settled in your mom decided it was time to pack up and move. However, when you'd hit high school she decided it was best for you to stay in one place, but that all ended the summer you turned 16.
"Where are we moving again?" you asked your mother while popping a grape into your mouth
"The Outer Banks, in North Carolina. It's beautiful honey you'll love it" your mother smiled sweetly
You really didn't have a problem with living in new places, or being the new girl.
It always gave you the ability to reinvent yourself. At this point though, it felt like you'd lived so many lives you might as well be a spy.

It only took two weeks for the last two years of your life to be packed into boxes, and shipped to the new house.
As the drive towards the Outer Banks continued you began to get excited, surfing, and island living sounded like the dream really. You also felt yourself grow more nervous about meeting new people.
