Fractal Complexity

Before they knew it, a small ball rolls between the group. Isa's eyes widen as she watches the orange blast shoot the group away from each other. Isa landed next to Stephen, their yelps hidden by a recognizable scream.

"Thanos!" Knifes were launched at Isa and Stephen, but he quickly conjured up a shield protecting both of them. As another yell bellowed from her old friend, she watched helplessly as Stephen's cape attacks Drax.

She grabbed Stephen's arm, forcing his shield to drop, "Call your clothing back, thats Drax!"

He shoved her off, "Who?"

"Guardians of the Galaxy! For an all knowing guy you're quite unknowing."

He turned to face her, his brows furrowed, "You mean Tyler's brother is—" An explosion sends Isa and Stephen off their feet as Tony shot a rocket to disarm Peter. They grab each other in mid air but she watched as Tony throws him off.

Peter landed skillfully with a childish laugh, pressing a button of a grav grenade causing Tony to be magnetized to a metal pole.

Isa attempted to call out to Parker, but Peter attacked him, wrapping him in an electrical net.

Isa crossed her arms, letting the boys have their fun. She almost forgot Peter was a bounty hunter, and was almost impressed how he took out both Peter and Tony easily. But quickly Tony escapes the magnetic trap, holding Drax at gunpoint. Peter improvises, grabbing Parker and holding him at gunpoint as well as he yells,

"Everybody stay where you are! Chill the eff out! I'm gonna ask you this one time where is Gamora?"

Isa sighed, noticing Peter still had not seen her, but then she reminded herself—she was invisible.

Tony spoke louder, noticing Isa's disappearance and Stephen's silence, "Yeah, I'll do you one better, who's Gamora?"

"I'll do you one better-why is Gamora!"

Stephen looked back at Isa, she remembered well that he could see through all her powers, she gave him an embarrassed look. Almost as if he asked her if she actually knew these guys and why. She shrugged, pointing back at Quill.

"Tell me where the girl is or I swear to you I'm gonna French fry this little freak."

"Let's do it! You shoot my guy and I'll blast him, let's go!"

"Do it Quill! I can take it."

"No he can't take it!" Isa almost spun on her heels, she was taken aback by Mantis' presence, usually Quill wouldn't bring her to the battlefield.

"She's right, you can't." Stephen confirmed towards Drax.

"Oh yeah? You don't wanna tell me where she is? That's fine. I'll kill all three of you and I'll beat it out of Thanos myself! Starting with you!"

Isa kept her laughter to herself until she remembered that in this stage of invisibility she existed in a plane outside of theirs, and she could laugh as loud as she wanted.

Stephen sighed, "Thanos? Alright let me ask you this one time-what master do you serve?"

"What master do I serve? What am I supposed to say, 'Jesus'?"

Tony glanced at Stephen, "You're from earth!"

"I'm not from Earth, I'm from Missouri."

"Yeah thats on Earth, Dipshit. Why're you hassling us for?!"

"So you're not with Thanos?" Parker hummed underneath the quad blasters.

"With Thanos? No! I'm here to kill Thanos! He took my girl-wait who are you?"

Isa phased back into reality, jumping over Quill's shoulders with a hug, "Hi Peter Quill!~" she cheered, and he sighed, realizing the voice. "You finally figured it out!"

He spun around, facing her with a sly smile, "I can never seem to get rid of you."

She punched him in the shoulder as he began to speak but Tony boomed over her, "Quill? As in, Quill."

Peter spun on his heels, "Yes? You've heard of me? I guess the name Star Lord goes around—"

Stephen sighed but faced Tony, Tony rolled his eyes, "You're Tyler's brother?"

Quill scoffs, "Why am I always remembered as her brother—I was born first you know!"

"Jesus, I'd lie about you too if I had to explain this shit." Tony sighs, collapsing onto the ground as he holds his head within his hands.

Isa hummed, jumping up a ledge to stand next to Stephen. "Mr. Star Lord-you've met mr. Wizard—" Stephen nudged her in the side and she sucked up her last sentence through a hiss, "Guardians! These are the Avengers!"

She does a playful bow, and Mantis hummed, "You're the ones Thor told us about!"

Isa jumped, her heart flew to her throat, Tony jumped to his feet, both of them shared the same frightened look.

"You know Thor?!"

"Yeah. Tall guy, not that good-looking—Needed saving."

"He's alive?!" Isa whispered, walking towards Peter, he was wide eyed and confused as she gripped his arms. "Is he alive?"

"That's what I just said didn't I?"

A smile spread across her face, "And Loki?"

He gave her a somber look, his brows furrowed, "...I only found Thor and my sister in that reck. We looked for other life signs...but there were none. Thor was in pretty horrible shape when we found him, and Tyler only lived because she's stupid—"

"You said because she was half Celestial." Drax yelled out, and Peter nodded his head side to side, "That too."

"Where is he now." Stephen and Isa spoke together, their voices interwoven in a shaking boom.

"Gosh he took Rocket and Tyler to this Star thing. It had an important name—"

"Nidavellir!" Isa cheered, "He's gonna get a new hammer!"

Peter sighed, "Yeah something like that-very passionate about it too; took my pod!"

Isa spun on her heels, she jumped into Stephen's arms, then slapped him and turned to Tony, he raised his arms and backed up, "Don't punch me-I didn't do anything."

She jeered, "Then it's time to do something Metal Man—"

"...Metal man?"

"Let's save the universe!"
