Introduction

Ive always seen myself as normal.

And normals boring.

Ive always had the same routine.

Wake up
Get freshened up
Go to school
Come home
Grab a bag of freshly cut kiwis
And head down to the same very park I go to every day.

Except when I went today, someone was there.

A boy,  I've never seen before, was in my spot. Under the weeping willow tree I've grown very familiar with.

I'm not used to company, even though I'm very social.

My dad works down at the railroad and my mom is too busy either with the other house wives in the area or flaunting herself around town.

I do have a sibling, Scotty, but he's never really around. He's 19 and moved out the first chance he could. I don't blame him, I wanna leave too.

I practically take care of myself except for the rare occasion of having dinner with a parent.

We write letters to each other, I know he loves me. I wish he could've taken me with but I understand it's never that easy. Sometimes I sneak out to go with him and his girlfriend Isabelle for late night ice cream.

It's not like anyone will notice I'm gone.

How can anyone notice when their never home?

Back to this boy though.

His clothes aren't the most stylish, just some jeans and a plaid shirt paired with brown boots.

But neither are mine.

All I'm wearing is a lavender colored sun dress I found in my closet with white flats.

Oh, and my mothers white hat.

She'd flip if she saw me wearing it.

So, I'm wearing it.

"I can feel you staring."

I get shaken out of my day dreaming by an unfamiliar voice.

Great now I zone out staring at strangers

"Your in my spot" I say, putting my hands on my hips

"Your name on it?" He throws back, starting to lean more into the tree with a smug look on his face.

Oh so he's got attitude. What a headache.

"Actually," I say, growing a smirk of my own on my face, "Look behind you."

He turns around, smile dropping when he sees an S and E carved in the trunk with a heart around it.

"Sage Evans, stated right on the tree, pleasure to meet you." I say sarcastically, dropping my backpack down on the grass as I lean down to sit as well.

He ignores me, instead digging into his own bag and pulling out school work.

"Not very kind of you to not return an introduction, your mother ever teach you that?" I mumble, already annoyed with his presence.

At this point I'm praying this tree falls over and kills me-

"My mothers dead"

Oh-

Well okay then-

"Oh god I'm sorry I-"
