Invisible Strings (VERY SLOW UPDATES)

Chapter Eight

Yoonchul was out of words. As always, Yoonhee was so understanding and forgiving. Sometimes, he can't help but think how the world doesn't deserve someone like her. After all of the cruelty she faced, she still had it in her to forgive and understand.

"Rona might think different though. I think your daughter needs to apologize to her." Yoonchul nodded.

"Thank you, Yoonhee." He said, giving her a shy smile. The redhead return the smile as well. 

"Do you want help?" The redhead offered.

"Oh no, we're almost finish anyways."

Yoonhee looked around awkwardly and dug her hands on her pocket. Yoonchul started fidgeting with his hands.

"Well... if you don't want my help I'll get going now." She said as she points towards the door to her unit.

"Of course."

They shared an awkward smile one last time before Yoonhee finally went inside her unit and Yoonchul goes back to helping the movers.

"What?" Yoonhee asked in disbelief as if she can't believe what her girlfriend just asked her.

"I said, will you accompany me to the launch party?" Suryeon repeated her question before taking a sip of her tea.

The redhead scratch the back of her head. She isn't the one for parties, and besides, she's not involve in the business to be there.

"Are you sure? What will I do there?" She asked to which the brunetted smiled.

"You'll be my date." She answered simply. The younger woman's jaw dropped.

"No way." 

The brunette's smile disappeared, the younger woman being so adamant on declining her offer upset her. Yoonhee noticed the hurt in her eyes, she sighed.

"It's not that I don't want to be your date, I'm just thinking about what would people say to you. They still remember me as someone who killed your daughter." She said, taking her hand in hers. Suryeon look at her in the eyes her lips forming into a straight line.

"Is that really the reason? Or do you just not want anyone to know about our relationship?" Yoonhee clenched her jaw and let go of the older woman's hand.

"I can't believe you." 

Suryeon crossed her arms and stood up. She was looking away from the redhead now. She still remembered what she overheard from the twins yesterday while they video called Rona.

"What!? Eunbyeol is your neighbor?" Seokkyung asked in shock.

"Are you okay? Did she try to harm you?" Seokhoon asked right after his twin shot her question to their friend.

"Relax, I'm fine. She apologized to me." Rona said, unfazed. 

"Really? Eunbyeol!?" Seokkyung was in disbelief, she can't believe that her ex 'friend' would lower her pride and apologize.

"Even you apologized to me, what's the difference." Rona reminded her.

"Still, it's weird."
