Part 22

"Kung okay lang sa'yo pwede din ba ako maging assistant coach mo? Mukhang maganda yung nagagawa mo dito. It really makes a difference." sabi ni Deanna as I was explaining to her my work here.

"Sure, we could use a good setter as a coach"

We ordered lunch nalang din sa may poolside habang patuloy parin ang kwentuhan namin.

I love this about us. Yung hindi kami nauubusan ng topic. Kahit noon nga na parati kaming magkasama, we can still talk all day.

It was nearing 4:30 PM at hindi na masyadong tirik ang araw. Milo had joined us and was sitting on Deanna's lap.

"Hey do you wanna go for a dip?" pag aaya ni Deanna.

"Uhm sure thing"

We walked to the beach with Milo following close by. Inaalalayan nya pa rin ako kahit kaya ko naman ng maglakad.

"Wait, jan ka muna" sabi ni Deanna at nauna syang lumusong sa tubig.

She kept wading around habang naka yuko. Maya maya may maingat syang pinupulot na parang bato at itinatapon nya palayo.

Mga ilang minuto din nya itong ginawa.

I got impatient so I shouted to her.

"Ano ba ginagawa mo jan?!"

"Just making sure na wala ng sea urchin dito banda" she said while walking back towards me.

Her rash guard got wet kaya kumapit ito sa katawan nya. She was wearing bikini undies below.

Napalunok naman ako.

"Okay na. Basta jan ka lang banda ha." she gestured to the area that she combed for urchins earlier.

I was wearing an off-shoulder top and maong shorts but I have a bikini underneath.

Nakasanayan ko na ito sa isla because you never know when the beach will tempt you kaya dapat laging handa.

Ang lagkit ng tingin ni Deanna sakin as I undressed.

"Are you coming?"

"Huh? Wha-..Oh yeah yeah let's go" nauutal na sagot nya.

Masaya kaming nagtampisaw sa dagat habang si Milo pa langoy langoy din sa paligid namin.

"Sayang wala si Ollie dito" sabi ko kay Deanna.

"Oo nga eh. Complete family na sana ulit tayo"

"Ano yun?" narinig ko naman pero gusto ko ulitin nya.

"Ha? Ah wala sabi ko sa susunod dadalhin ko na sya dito" she hesitantly said.

As the sun was setting, we both fell quiet.

"Anyway, anong gagawin mo tonight?" sabi niya.

"May gagawin ka ba mamaya?" sabay ko namang nasabi.

Nagkatinginan kami and smiled awkwardly.

"Uhm wala akong gagawin. Ikaw ba? Do you wanna grab some diner with me?" she finally said.

"Uhhh so like a date?"

"What? No! Not a date. Just-" she said defensively.

"So you DON'T wanna go on a date with me?" I said with a raised brow.

It was so funny seeing her grasping at straws.

"Ha? Of course I do, it's just... I don't want you to think it's like a date date...because...well because I-I don't wanna pressure you or anything. But if you wanna call it that...then I...I mean I guess it's a date." ang bilis ng pagkakasabi nya at halos na uutal na sya.

"Whoah chill alright? Haha I'm just messing with you" natatawang sabi ko while holding both my arms up in front of me.

Para naman syang naka hinga ng malalim.

"I forgot; you do have a knack for intentionally screwing with me" she said while shaking her head.

"If my memory serves me correctly, you never seemed to mind me screwing you. In fact, I think you might have loved it." I teased her with a seductive knowing smile and winked at her.

Ngumiti naman sya ng nakakaloka and licked her lower lips.

"Anyway, I have to change. See you at the exit around seven-ish?" I said to her habang umaahon na sa tubig.

"YES!" nabigla din sya sa lakas ng pagkakasabi nya. Excited ata masyado haha. "I mean...yeah...yeah sure. Seven sounds good" she shrugged her shoulders and tried to act cool.

I left her in the water with Milo following me. I had my back turned to her but I can feel she's looking at my ass.

I turned my head to look at her and she was just standing there smiling like an idiot.

Hayyy Deanna. Ano na naman ba tong nangyayari sa atin?

Ba't ayaw tayo tantanan ng tadhana?
