"Oh peace offering. Sorry na." nag-aalangan na sabi ko.

She looked at me with a raised eyebrow.

"Sorry na nga oh! Ikaw kasi!" na iinis na ako.

"Ay wow! Ganyan ba mag sorry dapat? Parang di naman sincere" pang aasar nya.

"Your grace, your royal highness, your excellency, sorry na nga" I said sarcastically.

She chuckled and took the drink from my hand.

"So, what really brings you here?" I asked her.

"I could ask you the same thing" sabi nya.

"I asked first"

"Fine. I just wanted a break from the hectic city life...and...." she paused for a while.

"Well, me and Raph kinda broke up a few months ago so..." she trailed off.

"Oh, I'm sorry to hear that" sayang naman talaga sila and Raph was really pretty.

"Eh it was inevitable. Mahirap kasi pag di pa fully moved on yung isang tao. Anyway, your turn to answer" she said casually.

Di pa fully moved on? What's that supposed to mean? Does she mean herself or Raphiel? I don't wanna assume.

"Long story but somehow I ended up volunteering as a volleyball coach sa local elementary school dito."

"Oh wow! Really? That's really wonderful Jema. I bet you've made a lot of those children happy. By the way, how's your foot?"

"Feeling a little bit better. May konting kirot lang."

"We should probably get something for that"

"No, it's fine. Magiging okay din to. Importante na bunot na yung tinik. This should heal fast"

"Ano ba kasing ginagawa mo dun sa likod ng bangka?"

"It's my morning routine to walk on the beach ng maaga, pangpawala lang ng stress. Then I saw you and I panicked so agad akong nagtago sa likod ng bangka. Hindi ko na nakitang may sea urchin pala don hehe" nahihiyang sabi ko.

"Wag mo kasi akong tinataguan. Ayan tuloy haha"

"Che! Galing mo pa rin talagang mang inis eh!"

We ended up talking for hours dun sa tabi ng pool. Just casual conversation about what we've been up to recently.
