Johnny: Wait, wait, pause... Johnson... Johnson, where have I heard that name?

Mark: He was on the news a few months earlier for the Harold Traverston scandals, he was involved through association.

Johnny: Oh right! Please, continue.

Mark: Next topic! The ex-vigilante Idol has just stepped forward and wrote a memoir on her time as a vigilante. The now public figure Chonnasorn Sajakul wrote about various team-ups she did with other vigilantes like TNT, Alis, and Ribbon. She made the choice to keep their identities secret, however. On the flip side of that, the previously "retired" vigilantes Psycho and Stranger were seen to be active once again in Capitol City. Johnny, you take it from here.

Johnny: Got it, for our last quick headline we'll keep you updated on the Charlatan situation. As of yesterday, three out of seven people on that list have gone missing, including Schneiderman, Park, and Jones. The remaining four are being asked to report to the police station to receive proper surveillance. And that's it for the quick news break! Moving on to the topic of the day, Cypher and Cheshire!

Mark: Quick thing, though, Cheshire is very much retired, as far as we know. But Cypher, on the other hand, is very much active.

Johnny: Yup, for sake of the episode, and since we're waiting for our special guest, we'll dive right into Cheshire's modus operandi first. As usual, Mark! Take it away!

Mark: It's hard to describe Cheshire without mentioning Cypher. In the early days of the duo, Cypher would stage their famous "Cypher Attack" and, shortly, Cheshire would go after that person. Cheshire was first seen solo, however, in the more richer areas of the city, Cheshire tended to target drunk no-gooders who'd get into whatever shenanigains and so on. It was about a month after this when Cheshire got involved with Cypher. Cheshire was named so after the apparent large grin they'd have on their face right before he struck. Very rarely did Cheshire ever actually kill anyone, though.

Johnny: All casualties were initially debilitating injuries, any deaths occured indirectly.

Mark: Like that one guy who got hit by a car after his run in with Cheshire.

Johnny: Yeah, Cheshire had nothing to do with it, really. It was just a consequence of, what was it again?

Mark: Uh... broken knee caps?

Johnny: Yeah.

Mark: Yeah... uh... anyway. Cheshire became somewhat of a name amongst that neighborhood, so much so that little kids would chant "beware the man who smiles!" Whenever they'd see someone out too late or when they'd see someone holding a bottle of whatever alcoholic beverage. But then, he stopped.

Johnny: A few months before the vigilante ban, specifically. Cypher continued, but Cheshire stopped. Aside from Cypher, no one really knows if Cheshire really worked with anyone else. We've seen Cheshire speaking to other vigilantes, like Matryoshka and Puma. But never working together, specifically.

Mark: Cheshire was sort of a loner, apparently. A lot of the criminals he targeted mentioned that Cheshire was always alone. Cheshire specializes in quick but precise attacks to get the job done quickly. And never does Cheshire stay any longer.

Johnny: I've heard that Cheshire is a action first and chat later kind of vigilante.

Mark: Really? I've heard the opposite, actually. I heard that Cheshire's actually pretty chatty while they fought.
