"I just wish to get to know all the answers, to get to know and see what was out there, I wouldn't gets much off and experience just of the words my best friend roseline would tell me after her long trip to the river this summer... god I wish my grandma wasn't that strict about the river on the other side of the long field and tower high trees" looking down and watching as the black ink began to create something on the Snow White paper from the oldest tree in town,that rested on top of the big fluffy blanket that covered Lily's waist to her feet... letting out a big breath, lily closed the book on her lap and placed it under the pillows that was placed between her and the cold white wall behind her

Lily sat in the deep silence in the big window, and watched as the day come to its end, watched as the day began to close its eyes. How the orange and red daylight mixed perfectly together over the city, how the trees made shadows as tall as houses over the field full of horses and all the other wild animals that would cross over, the heigh grass full of flowers, watch as they would run over just to get to the other side of the trees, out to explore the free world. To dive into the sky blue river that was placed on the other side of the trees and bushes full of wild berries in all different colours and sizes. Slowly rolling out of all the thoughts in her head lily got up and wandered down the stairs to the kitchen to find her grandma standing besides the oven with the days paper, from this morning in her hands.

Her grandma was Much like other peoples grandma,about 73 years old, not really that tall just about 5.2, grey hair and a really old fashion humour, but of curse really sweet and understanding when it came to talking to her grand daughter.

Slowly rounding the counter, lily jumped op on the cold flat surface, faced her grandma that was still taken by the many lettered that covered the big paper that rested in her hand. With legs swinging out in the air, feeling the big rumble in her stomach, Lily's thoughts wandered to what she was going to eat for dinner or what or when she was going to eat dinner, since her grandma wasn't standing and making dinner as usual. Lily had asked her grandma a couple of hours earlier if she wanted help with cooking dinner, but her grandma had refused... then when her stomach began to rumble and the smell of cooked food wasn't floating in the hot air lily began to wonder.

Reaching over and lowering the paper in her grandmas hand.

"What's for dinner tonight" lily said with a low voice.
Her grandma quickly looked up to the beautiful women, that was sitting in front of her on the other counter. with light brown hair that was placed in a messed up bun on top of her head with a couple baby hair falling from it as they weren't long enough to reach the bun.

"Well... I just got a call from work saying I need to take the night shift today... since the others ended up sick at home... I'm sorry for telling you this now... but I will be home when you wake up tomorrow" feeling kind hurt that the plans that her and her grandma had for the night just got cancelled, lily looked down in her lap and fumbled with her fingers. Feeling a finger under her chin, then her head beginning to rise to the sight of her grandma.

"I know that I promised you that we would spend time together tonight, but seems that there will be a bit of changes, I placed some money and a gift for you in your bathroom, for you to use for tonight to have some fun with friend or just yourself, okay... I gotta go now, it's only a couple of hours I'll be gone" placing a soft kiss to Lily's head her grandma walked out of the house.

Hearing the car pulling out of the front and driving away, lily knew she was home alone for the first time in very long, to be on the dot, it was exactly since her stupid boyfriend had walked into the house and up to her bedroom in full midnight and began to beat her in her sleep, until she would wake up screaming to the pain of her ribs as they would begin to break and crack inside of her, and her grandma would run into the bedroom with a small gun in her hand and the police on the phone. the most terrifying night of her life.

A night that lily will never forget...
