"Yoonhee-ssi, long time no see." Logan greeted her. The redhead calm herself down and managed to give him a fake smile.
"Hello Logan, what are you doing here?"
"I discussed business Suryeon. How about you? What brings my sister's killer here?" He said bitterly.
"Logan!" Suryeon was getting angry now, she welcomed him because she still treats him as a friend that helped her during those hard times but she can't let him disrespect Yoonhee like this. She looked at the younger woman, her hands were balled into a fist, with her head down. She knows how the redhead still feel guilty about the act that she didn't commit in the first place.
"Maybe you haven't heard but she was cleared of that already. Joo Dantae and Cheon Seojin was the one who killed my daughter."
"Are you sure that you're not being blind? And even if she didn't do it, she betrayed you. How can you still trust her?" Suryeon gritted her teeth.
"You can go to the police station and check. How about you? I hear your parents are still roaming free even though you promised me that you would punish them yourself." Logan was about to speak again when Suryeon cut him off.
"I think you should leave. Don't worry, this won't affect your business proposal."
Logan bowed his head down in defeat, when he walked away, he stopped in front of Yoonhee. He glared at her one last time before he finally got out. Suryeon immediately approached Yoonhee and held one of her hands.
"Are you okay?" She asked, trying to find her eyes.
The younger woman finally looked up, she has tears in her eyes. Logan's words hurt, being accused of something she didn't do was awful but him bringing up how she betrayed Suryeon made her loathe herself even more. Suryeon sighed upon seeing her in tears. She pulled her in for a hug, she didn't care if someone sees them, giving her comfort is all she could think about.
They were in Suryeon's study room now, Yoonhee had her head down as she play with her hands. The brunette settled her cup on the coffee table. She eyed the redhead, her silence is alarming her.
"How are you?" She asked gently. The redhead looked up and gave her a faint smile.
"Fine. The landlady is a bit nosy but she's nice. Rona is doing good in school too, but I think you know that already because of the twins." Suryeon sighed, she stood up and sat beside her.
"How about you? You're not overworking yourself, right?" She asked as she take her hand and massage her palm. Yoonhee smiled, Suryeon was the only genuine person in her life who truly cared for her beside her daughter. She looked up and gave her a bright smile, the brunette did the same.
"I'm fine, I get enough rest. I promise." She replied reassuringly. She eyed the brunette and noticed the tiredness in her eyes.
"You're the one who's overworking, you look so tired."
"It's not like I have anything else to do, the twins are too busy with school so I barely get to spend time with them. You're also away too." She said as she rest her head on the younger woman's shoulder. Yoonhee clasped their hands together.
"I missed you." Suryeon added.
"I missed you too."
They stayed in that position for a while, enjoying each other's presence. Yoonhee roamed her eyes around the room, it was so beautiful. The room was full of Suryeon's paintings. Her eyes stopped at one of them when she realized the subject of the painting. Sudden feelings of guilt swarmed her chest. She felt hot tears streaming down her face. The older woman heard her silent sobs and immediately looked at her.
