A story in which, Y/n sees the same cat in her neighbourhood over and over again. Turns out It belongs to Chifuyu Matsuno.

The next days, Y/n and Chifuyu met again in the playground, sometimes Peke J would ignore both of them so they end up sitting on the swings or sliding and would talk or goof around until it was time to come home.
And sometimes he tells her that he has something to do the day after so he won't show up. It happens twice or thrice a week and It didn't bother her. But she found herself missing him when he wasn't with her. She still shows up and plays with Peke J, who recently started sleeping on her lap or licking her fingers or face. The affection he gave her made her heart melt and she knew she wanted to have a cat, a cat that belongs to her, but she had to rethink the name she choose when she was 5 years old.
Her life in her home was boring for a bit, both of her parents worked, she had no brothers nor sisters, pets aren't allowed in and mostly all of her friends had summer school since most of them failed their exams.
So to pass the time, she bought a lot of movies to watch, canvas to draw on and printed multiple music sheets to learn ( I would say watching anime or gaming but it's like 2005), she wanted to be productive instead of laying around like a rag, which is what happened last summer.
So she called her friend, Hinata Tachibana, that she knew since junior school, and even if they weren't in the same school anymore, they still hang out from time to time. Both of them decided to meet in the mall to buy yukata's for the festival which is in two days.
Y/n wore a simple tee and a pair of black shorts before dashing out of her room, telling her parents that she's going out and that she will be back before dinner. Honestly, It surprised them since It was the first time she's ever told them where she was going but It didn't alarm them that much so they asked her to take care and have fun.
Hina was waiting for her in front of her apartment complex since they live near each other, they decided to catch up for a bit before actually going out to the mall so they headed to a nearby cafe instead.
Both of them passed near the park which made Y/n glance, hoping she would see Chifuyu sitting or Peke J passing by but there was nothing. Hina noticed that her friend was air-headed and asked her what was going on.
"I'll tell you later." She simply replied before avoiding the subject, to embarrassed to bring the cute boy up.
They sat in a cozy cafe, which was across the mall, Y/n got an iced tea, Hina got a slice of cake and a bubble tea. They talked about school first and then they brought Takemichi, hina's boyfriend, up.
Hina talked about how much she was worried whenever he showed up, beaten up and could barely stand on his feet. Both of them knew he gets frequently into fights in or out of the school.
"Recently, he started hanging out with two boys from a feared gang around here. They are kind but It still makes me worried." Huffed Hina, making the girl in front of her wonder If the same thing happened to her, what would she do.
