"Madison Montgomery for the President?" Madison told the security officer.

The officer took Madison through the rest of the information that he needed before she'd be let into the White House. She resisted the urge to make a comment, as she confirmed the details that had just been relayed to her. Information that she'd already confirmed when going through the first security point.

"Mr. Young will be with you in a moment," the officer stated, pointing over to the seats, not too far away from the desk. Madison nodded, not wanting to mention that she knew where she was going, having first came to the White House back when she was around two years old.

Madison sat down on the uncomfortable chair as she half listened to the conversations that played out around her.

It didn't take long before a young man looked around, trying to figure out who he'd been sent to find. He stopped by the officer, who pointed in Madison's direction.

Madison waved over at the young man.

"Ms. Montgomery?" he asked.

"Yes, Madison Montgomery," Madison held her hand out for him to shake, still unable to shake the polite formalities that she was raised with, "I'm assuming you're Mr. Young."

"Charlie," Charlie corrected Madison as they shook hands.

"Maddie," she offered as they broke apart, "I'm assuming you're the President's body man?"

Charlie nodded in response as he led her through the building, Madison followed alongside him. As they tried to make to small talk, Charlie mentioned that he'd only recently become a member of the President's team. It didn't talk long before they inevitably got to the elephant in the room. The question lingered on the tip of Charlie's tongue.

"How..." He started before Madison stopped him.

"How do I know the President?" She asked the rest of his question, not giving Charlie a second to respond Madison started answering, "I've known him all my life, through my mother. In fact, he's my Godfather."

Madison offered this information freely as Charlie was the President's body man and more than likely already had a run in with her mother and this information was freely accessible. It wasn't hidden that Madison was in fact the President's Goddaughter, they just had to know where to look to find this fact out.

Charlie nodded as he took this information in, as he tried to remember something.

"Constance Rogers, she's your mother right?" Charlie asked, more thinking about out than anything else.

"Ah, the Connie question," Madison laughed slightly, as Charlie lead her down around corridor, "Yeah she is." She swallowed the lump in her throat.

Charlie realising that this wasn't a topic that Madison wanted to dwell on, he slipped the conversation back into safer waters, the generic small talk that filled his days.

As Charlie lead Madison through the halls of the White House, towards where the small and informal event that she'd been invited to attend. Much less of an invitation than her arm being twisted by her mother who told the President that she was permanently back in town.

She half listened to the conversations that played out around her, as the pair made their way through the halls, Charlie clearly trying to remember which way he was meant to go.

Madison waved at Leo who seemed as if he was in deep conversation with a small group of people, one of them Madison vaguely recognised but she couldn't quiet place where from. Someone that she'd probably seen on the news or some other late talk show, trying to spin whatever the White House wanted.
