Her eyes widened, her hand now dropping from his grasp. "You want a baby? With me!?" But even as her tone was of shock, Caitlin's insides warmed with the thought. She felt a similar spike from him, right in her heart.
"I want it all, the love and companionship. The heated gazes and the passionate disagreements. Mornings waking up together, quiet nights in front of the television. The simpleness of domestic chores. Working with you and the others here at Star Labs or with you and Jesse's team on Earth 3, it doesn't matter." He lay his hand on the back of her neck, fingers twirling with the tiny hairs. She melted into him and he wrapped his other arm around her waist. "Whether or not that leads to a baby isn't something I'd rule out, but it's you. It's a life with you, Snow, that I wanted in that moment. That I still want and haven't been able to stop thinking about since. As long as I have you and Jesse in my life, I don't need anything else."
She bit down on her bottom lip, her arms now around him too. They swayed together, just staring at each other.
He regarded her curiously in the silence. "You know I can feel that something's on your mind, right? You want to tell me something."
"It's just that, while I was guiding Cecile through labor, I was thinking about Ronnie." She felt Harry tense, and she winced as she clung tighter to him. "How we talked about having children after we got married, and how that was taken from me when I lost him. Since then, I never really thought about getting married again. Or of children. I didn't think I'd find anyone again to do any of that with. And with Frost being a part of me, I didn't know how anyone would be able to deal with me having an alter ego that I could potentially pass on to any of my children. Mostly I just wanted Frost back, wanted to help you. At the time, we didn't even know if we'd survive or if we would lose you completely. I'm still not sure what I want, or of most things, but I do know I want to find out - with you."
Harry took the leap, his lips meeting with hers in a passion-fueled kiss. For a moment she started to pull away and Harry panicked, worried he'd moved too quickly. But then Caitlin latched on to the collar of his sweatshirt and pulled him to her, melding her entire body against his as their lips fused together again.
He was surrounded by the smell of her lavender shampoo, of the cold sweat still attached to her skin from being out in the field. He tugged down the zipper of her jacket, slipping it off her shoulders where it fell to the floor. His hands rested on the shoulders of her denim shirt, running circles into her skin. She moaned into him as he lifted his lips, kissing down her neck like she'd felt him thinking about. Her hips pushed against him, his fingers now digging deeper into her sides. His lips found their way back to hers, and just as he thought he felt her breath turn cold she shoved him back away from her.
Their eyes met, both of them panting, as she held her hand over her mouth, and he stilled when he saw her teary orbs begin to flare.
"Snow?" He called out.
She breathed deeply, glowing eyes wide with panic. Icy smoke started drifting from her fingertips. "I could've....I almost..."
"But you didn't," Harry told her. He reached out to touch her, but she shook her head. He held up his hands in surrender, nodding. "You're okay. I'm okay. It's okay , Snow. Here, come with me." He led her to Cisco's workshop, scanning the messy desks before he found what he was looking for. "Aha! DeVoe used Brainstorm's powers to create a mental block between you and Frost, but you broke through that once tonight. You're already halfway there again now, your heightened emotions triggering the ice - I can feel it. You two just have to figure out how to get the rest of the way."
Caitlin wrapped her arms around herself, watching him in confusion. He held up the item, opening the case and she scrunched her face before her mouth hung open. "Your mental activity dampener. It'll help me hear her!"
