The two Bucket siblings, Y/n and Charlie, were just ordinary children. They were not faster, nor stronger, nor more clever than other children. Some could say the two were almost opposites, with young Charlie being a soft-spoken boy and Y/n being someone who could benefit from keeping her gob shut every once in a while (well at least, according to Grandpa George, that is).

The pair were attached to the hip, never seeming to be apart for too long.

And this story is all about their ordinary family, living in an ordinary home, in an ordinary town. Their family was not rich, nor powerful, or well-connected. In fact, they barely had enough to eat. The two youngest Buckets were the luckiest children in the world - they just didn't know it yet.
