Don't play the song till i say
Hi there, my name is Madeline Belova but everyone calls me Maddie. Before we get into all the craziness of my life lets go back to the very beginning.
August 27th 2007, a little girl was born to Julia and Mark Roberts. That's me if you haven't figured it out. Julia and Mark are my biological parents but they unfortunately died in a car accident a few weeks after i was born. I spent the first few years of my life in care waiting to go to a family that was until October 2016 when i was 9 years old.
My room was plain white from the walls to the floor. We were never allowed to decorate. I remember doing ballet when a care worker walked into my room. Betty was a nice care worker compared to some of the others, we always got along.
"Maddie we have someone here to see you"
I was used to this. A lot of people came to see me but i never fitted what they wanted. I always tried not to get over excited.
Betty took me to another room where i saw a blonde women there. She looked up and smiled at me.
"hi Maddie i'm Yelena. I'm hoping to adopt you if that's okay with you?"
This was the first time this had ever happened to me. I could tell she was a good person so i said yes and i went home with her that day.
Now it's 2023 and i'm 16 years old. I've been living with my mum for 7 years now and for the first time i'm going to meet my aunt Nat. I know she's blackwidow, i see her on the TV. It's a couple of hours from where we live in New York to where the avengers compound is so we have to make a couple of stops for our dog Fanny.
"mum can we play our song"
"of course darling"
My mum put our song on and we started to song like we always did.
Play the song nowwww
A long, long time ago I can still remember how that music Used to make me smile And I knew if I had my chance That I could make those people dance And maybe they'd be happy for a while
But February made me shiver
With every paper I'd deliver
Bad news on the doorstep I couldn't take one more step I can't remember if I cried When I read about his widowed bride Something touched me deep inside The day the music died
So, bye-bye, Miss American Pie Drove my Chevy to the levee, but the levee was dry And them good ol' boys were drinkin' whiskey and rye Singin', "This'll be the day that I die This'll be the day that I die"
The song faded out as i closed my eyes and when they reopened i was staring at this magnificent building.
