"Yoonhee-ssi! You scared me." The woman said as she held a hand over her chest.

"Sorry unnie, I thought you were someone else." The redhead scratched the back of her head.

From afar, Yoonhee saw Suryeon walking just behind Jenny's mom. Kang Mari noticed the panick in her face so she turn around only to see the owner of the penthouse. The brunette was shocked to see Kang Mari with the redhead as well so she pretended to not see them and head for her car which was not too far from them.

Mari eyed the owner of the penthouse suspiciously, she had never seen her out and about during late hours.

"Unnie, how is Jenny?" Yoonhee tried to distract the bathhouse owner.

"She's so busy these days, is Rona like that too?"

"Yes, I think it's because finals is around the corner."

"Ahh... well I gotta go now, Jenny must be waiting for me. Good night Yoonhee-ssi!" The woman said as she turn her back on her to go home.

"Good night unnie!"

When she was sure that Mari was out of sight she immediately got on Suryeon's car which was already unlocked for her. She sat in the passenger seat and sighed.

"Well that was close." She commented.

She noticed that the brunette beside her is incredibly quiet since she got in. She turned to the side to face her, she has her arms crossed and she was staring straight ahead. She frowned, she was acting strange.

"Uhm... are you not in the mood to drive?" She asked.

"I didn't know you were close with her." The older woman stated, still staring straight ahead.

Just by that statement alone, she already know why she was acting strange. She knows she was indifferent to all the hera club members, she hated how they coddled their children and let them get away with everything. She hated how none of them helped her daughter when Joo Dantae and Cheon Seojin locked her up in the mechanical room.

When Mari and her served time in prison, they would often bumped into each other or we'll get paired up in cleaning tasks often. Mari was angry with her because she got in trouble for her "murder". As time past by though, the two got along, they leaned on each other. She had seen the woman get consumed by guilt too, she had seen how the woman finally realized her mistake. After Jenny's mom got out, she visited her too. In one of her visit, she told her that she tried apologizing to Suryeon but she didn't forgive her. That time, she lost all hope of ever fixing whatever friendship they had. She had thought that what she said in the court room was only to convince the judge to give her a lighter sentence, she thought Suryeon did it for Rona. She thought that if Suryeon can't forgive Kang Mari, she definitely have no chance either. She sighed, She doesn't know what to say to her. She knows she's upset that she's befriending someone she hates.

"She was the only one who was there for me when I lost Rona." She started. The older woman was taken aback, she never really knew how the younger woman coped with losing her beloved daughter.

"She told me she tried apologizing to you, but you didn't accept it."

"Because it doesn't take away what she did." The brunette said through gritted teeth.

"I know, nothing will take away what they did. I'm just trying to tell you that the reason why I am friendly to her is because she was there for me and because I know that she regretted what she did. I saw it first hand." The redhead tried to explain.

"Are you telling me that I should forgive her?" She sighed, she knows how Suryeon gets sensitive when it comes to this topic.

"No, I just want you to understand why I don't resent her. I'm not going to dictate you anything." She explained.
