I'm kind of new to the whole poem writing thing but I had nothing to do so it kind of just came together. I always like to read your comments and if you could vote if you like it, it would be appreciated :) Everybody's beautiful in their own way, and nothing should stop you from being yourself, and I'm sick of trying to be what others want me to be. Anyway, I had no idea what to title this so it's kinda bad but... Enjoy!

Trying to please you
Trying to be you
trying to be what society wants,
Trying to be thin
Trying to fit in,
Trying not to look gaunt,
Trying to look good,
Not eating food
I'm another step closer to being pretty
Trying to work hard,
Broken and scarred
No one likes a girl that's not witty
Stepping on the scales, I' embarrassed to look,
still 110 pounds after all the measures i took,
Who wants a fat, ugly girl?
Looking in the mirror I was kidding myself,
Trying to look skinny's not good for my health
and beauty is from deep inside
Trying to be perfect I lost who I was
Working too hard to correct my own flaws,
But nobody's perfect, that's how we're human
Finding happiness with just being me,
not fat, not ugly and finally happy with what I see,
Screw society, we're all beautiful, every man, child, and woman
