Chapter Six

I was checking the fridge if I have any drinks I could offer to Yeona later. I have cans of Coke and bottles of beer so I guess those are fine.

I received a message from Yeona and she said they arrived already and they need help with something so I replied that I'm on my way.

I went out of my apartment and glanced at Jaemin's door as I passed.

We could be sleeping next to each other right now and I could ignore Yeona's messages but it's the other way around.

I responded to Yeona's messages.

I entered the elevator and pressed the 1st-floor button to meet Yeona and her friends.

When I got there, they were waiting by the reception area and Yeona stood when she saw me approaching.

"I'm really sorry for bothering you. We just really need a little help with our friend over here," she awkwardly smiled at me and showed her friend who already passed out.

"It's fine. Do you know her unit number?" I asked.

We approached her other friends and they helped me put their drunk friend behind my back and I carried her up.

"She lives on the 10th floor. Are you gonna be fine?" Yeona asked worriedly and I nodded.

"I can carry her just fine," I said and we proceed to enter the elevator.

The elevator ride to the 10th floor was kind of awkward and I don't have any plan on breaking the ice. I just don't know what to say.

"So why are you still up until this hour?" Yeona asked.

"I had a movie night with Jaemin and we just finished a while ago when you texted me," I answered.

"Wow, you two are still inseparable since high school. I wouldn't be surprised if you guys decided to live together later on," she said and I glanced at her.

Even she noticed. Then there's Jaemin, dumb as fuck.

The elevator finally arrived at our floor destination and they lead to their room. When we got there, they just told me to drop their friend on her bed.

"Thanks a lot for helping us. We don't know what we'd do if it wasn't for you," Yeona thanked and I nodded in response.

"Aren't you coming over?" I asked Yeona and she made eye contact with her friends.

"Don't worry we can handle her. You go first," her friends told her.

"Are you guys sure?"

"Absolutely,"

"Then we're leaving," Yeona walked out and I followed.

"You should lead the way," Yeona said and I walked a little ahead of her.

"Was there an occasion?" I started a conversation as we walked.

"Yeah, um, even though it's just Monday, it's already a hell of a week for us so we decided to freshen up a little bit although it doesn't look like it," Yeona explained and I nodded in understanding.

Finals are coming soon so I guess that's what made them stay out at night. It's been a long time since I went out drinking, too. I guess I should go out with friends sometime. I've been hanging out with Jaemin a lot, I need to refresh. 

"You should go with us sometimes if that's fine?" Yeona offered and I nodded again in agreement.

"Yeah, I'll let you know," I told her.
