Limitless Podcast Transcript [S2E3]

Start from the beginning

Mark: Footage? Oh! You're talking about Jeno's Instagram Live, right? I can't believe he still has that, that was years ago.

Johnny: Yeah, it was all the way in his archives. But, anyway, back to Shadow, tell us a little about them, Mark.

Mark: Right, right! Shadow's a super low key vigilante, from what I could dig up on them. The few times he was spotted were always around three or four in the morning and he usually frequented the northern districts of the city. The strange thing is that when they show up it's very... random, if that makes sense. Most of the criminals he debilitated had nothing to do with each other.

Johnny: True, I remember that. Shadow's honestly like... like a shadow. The only times we've seen them are team ups with other vigilantes, but I guess that's pretty on brand for them. I wonder if they stay active after the vigilante ban.

Taeyong: If they did then they're doing a hell of a good job with it, there's nothing on them.

Mark: Yeah, so we'll just write Shadow off as retired for now, to give them the benefit of the doubt. Uh... looks like we have a good five or six minutes left until we hit our time minimum, so I hope you guys don't mind if I bring one more vigilante to the table.

Johnny: I think I know who you're talking about, actually.

Mark: Who?

Johnny: Blackout!

Mark: Ri- Wait, what? No.

Johnny: No?

Mark: No... I was going to say Timekeeper.

Johnny: Timekeeper? Timekeeper?!

Mark: Hey! Don't mock Timekeeper, apparently he's the only actual vigilante with superpowers.

Johnny: Dude! Haha! You're joking!

Mark: I mean, you'll never know!

Johnny: There is literally no way to prove that Timekeeper has actual time powers.

Mark: Exactly.

Taeyong: If I may cut in, for a moment, I will say that Timekeeper is rather... inactive, compared to the rest of this list. I can only think of a handful of actual cases on them, and they make no effort to conceal what they do. Just in and out, and that's it.

Johnny: Okay, but how does Timekeeper's alleged "time abilities" play into this?

Mark: I mean, I don't know. Maybe that's why they're so "inactive." Maybe they're actually more active than most vigilantes we just don't know because they rewind to just before whatever and stops it?

Johnny: I mean-

Mark: I'm just saying we'll never know, and it's not like we can just, I dunno, ask. It's just a theory behind their chosen name.

Johnny: I always thought it was because they would clock their enemies until they either gave up or passed out. Have you seen Timekeepers right hooks? Fucking phenomenal. I want to get in the ring with them and have a fair fight.

Taeyong: You might get stuck in a time loop, haha.

Johnny: So be it, I may never even notice.

Mark: Right, just locked in a forever loop of... a fight... I guess.

Johnny: Can Timekeeper even fight? Last we heard from them his arm was... you know...

Mark: Chopped clean off?

Johnny: Yeah... if Timekeeper is even still alive, it's a bit of a crutch, don't you think?

Taeyong: I still remember the way my co-worker Doyoung shrieked when we found it.

Johnny: Oh god, I can hear it already, my ears are ringing.

Taeyong: If you think the screaming was bad, you should've seen Jungwoo's face when Doyoung kicked it and it landed in his lap.

Johnny: Ahaha! No way! Oh my god, is that why they don't talk anymore?!

Taeyong: I do believe it's part of it, maybe.

Mark: Wait, but how did you know that it was Timekeeper's?

Taeyong: It was frozen solid and had a watch on it, Mark, and how many people could have lost an arm in that fashion and that time period?

Mark: Oh, right, yeah... forget I asked.

Taeyong: It's fine, questions are fuel for the mind.

Mark: Thanks, man, but still, Jesus, that must have been gruesome to find. So did you guys like reverse analyze it?

Taeyong: We turned it in to the authorities, but they said that as soon as they tried to extract any DNA the whole arm shattered.

Johnny: Ew!

Mark: Eugh...

Taeyong: Yeah... so they decided that it was too risky to try to analyze any of the... pieces, as they would probably just continue to break down.

Mark: Oh my god, I can like... feel it. That's insane...

Johnny: Just go looking for one armed people and bam we've got Timekeeper!

Mark: What if he got like a prosthetic or something though?

Johnny: I mean, it's possible, but I guess we'll never know.

Mark: Sadly, no. But, it looks like we'll have to wrap up the episode now.

Taeyong: Already? Goodness, I wasn't paying attention to the time.

Johnny: Thanks for accepting my invitation to be on the show, Taeyong! It really means a lot.

Taeyong: It was no problem, I had a rather enjoyable time. I'd like to come on again sometime, if you'll have me.

Johnny: Sure! Just keep your DMs open, haha. Mark, any announcements?

Mark: Uh... Nothing aside from our new merch!

Johnny: Sound the airhorns ladies and gents and all those outside and in between!

Mark: We've got shirts and keychains designed by the lovely Crys! [TN: Thanks, boys.]

Johnny: That's right! Check the link in our bios on both Twitter and Instagram and, hey, maybe consider buying either us or Crys a Kofi, we'd all appreciate it a lot and it really helps us keep the podcast going. Mark! What's the question of the podcast?

Mark: Send us your answers on CuriosCat or tweet them with the hashtag #LimitlessPodcastEp3, who is your favorite vigilante hero and why?

Johnny: That's all for tonight, folks!

Mark: Good night everyone!

Taeyong:: Safe travels!
