The life of an astrosheep is quite a rewarding and interesting one. My name is Shaun and I'll tell you about my story as an astrosheep. It all started when my master donated me to NASA in the name of science. He probably expected they would blow me up to test some sort of a new bomb but little did he know they would make me the first astrosheep the world has ever seen. When I got there, the scientists treated me with disrespect and disregard as if I was nothing, it gave me the feeling I was a lab rat (which to them I probably was) and not an astronaut, they didn't even give me the most basic training and the launch was a few days away.

Before the launch I had the opportunity to meet my crewmates and they were genuinely the nicest group and people I have ever met and we seemed to have hit a good start. They're excitement also ended up affecting me. During takeoff I was nervous, luckily they reassured me saying they were nervous too and the launch was glorious. Earth looks so beautiful from space and all my hate for the planet due to The Farmer's abuse vanished as if it never existed as I realized Earth isn't all bad. Then it happened. My entire crew died in front of my eyes. Apparently a hatch didn't close properly and I believe someone sabotaged it.

Once the ship was destroyed I only made it out alive because of Lily, the only available escape pod was small. When everyone was running towards the escape pod, I was taking the lead and Lily picked me up and threw me towards the escape pod. Lily also fell so everyone else behind her tripped so I would be the only one on the escape pod.

I wandered within my escape pod for what would seem like weeks but eventually I arrived on Mars and it only took a few hours. The planet was weirdly beautiful with the red sand and it looked way different than the pictures taken by rovers. I took my first step on the planet.

It was supposed to be the greatest achievement for mankind but it was stolen by a sheep.

Landing on the Red Planet was weird, I instantly noticed the changes in gravity and how I could jump higher than I could on Earth. If I wasn't stuck in my current situation and haven't witnessed the only people who were nice to me being killed I probably would've jumped high with joy knowing that The Farmer could never reach me.

I decided I should end it all.

I decided I should do it in the cleanest way possible by taking off my helmet. So I did it, I took off my helmet and it was a stupid decision. Any death would've been better than this one. I felt all of my organs melting inside and moving rapidly within my body. During these moments I could only curse at myself for choosing such a painful death. Remembering Lily and the sacrifice she made for me made me regret my stupid decision even more but I knew it was too late as I felt my soul leave my body yet my imminent death never came. The pain I felt made it feel like months instead of minutes and seconds but then the pain just stopped. I stood up and there I was, mask-less on Mars with no problem breathing. I stepped on myself as hard as I could to make sure I was alive and I felt it. The sand and rocks under my hooves, the Martian wind, everything.

I took a few steps, trying to figure were I was and I wasn't sure if my was lucky or doomed in my current situation, and then I saw it.

A Martian village.

Entering the village I immediately realized it was abandoned and what struck me the most was how similar it was to villages back on Earth. My thoughts wandered as I explored the village, it had a town hall, a town square, stores, houses and many other buildings you could find on a village in Earth, I thought about making the village as a temporary base-

Boom.
