Lisa's POV

I kept glaring at the cheerleading team's table while forcefully chewing my food. My grip on my spoon became tighter every time Jennie chuckles with them like a shy princess.

"Calm down, Lis." Jisoo just chuckled at me before turning back to see what I was glaring at. She was sitting in front of me while the cheerleaders were two tables behind her. She faced me back with a sad smile and I couldn't help not to feel sorry for her.

"Why are you so chill with this?!" I asked with frustration. Chaeng, who was sitting on my left side, tapped my shoulder in attempt to calm me down ,which worked, although I was still pissed.

"She's her happiness, Lisa. I can't possibly take that away from her," she said while playing with her food. She barely even ate anything.

"What happiness?! That's not even how she laughs!" I hissed again, slamming my hands on the table. The loud bang gathered attention from everyone, including Jennie's and her 'friends'.

"Sorry," Chaeng smiled and bowed at everyone while her hand was pinching my arm, making me hiss yet again, but this time, it was due to pain. I pouted while rubbing my abused arm but she just acted like nothing happened as she went on with the conversation. The people's eyes are no longer on our table around this time.

"And you're okay with this, Jis?" Chaeng asked.

"It's her choice. And I'm just supporting her like how a good friend should," She said pausing for a while to look at us. "Like how you both should."

"Yeah, it doesn't count if the choice was a mistake!" I retorted making her sigh.

Jisoo has been in love with Jennie since high school. She confessed to her on our first year of college but she was rejected because apparently, Jennie was straight as hell. That's why Jisoo was a little heartbroken when Jennie told us she was dating a girl shortly after. And I say a little because she only spaced out for a week then everything was back to normal. She didn't even cry in front of us but we could see how her eyes bulged and we could only assume what happens whenever she's alone. Jennie was oblivious to how Jisoo reacted to her dating drama since she was so caught up in their relationship that she barely paid attention to any of us.

"Jis," Chaeng called out. Jisoo only looked at her and flashed her signature smile. At times like this, I hate that smile of hers. It's masking her pain and it's NOT healthy.

"I'm fine," she claimed before standing up, taking her tray. "I have to go. I have a class in fifteen minutes. See you guys around! Enjoy your day!"

She walked away to the opposite direction of Jennie's table, leaving Chaeng and me.

"I feel sorry for her," Chaeng blurted out the moment Jisoo was out of sight and I just sighed with her as silence surrounded us.

"Problems aside, are you free this Saturday?" I asked, making her look at me. I pressed my lips together to a smile and tilted my head, waiting for her 'Yes' because I actually knew her schedule already. Hehe.

"Yep, why?" She simply said and continued eating. My smile grew wider as I watched her eat. She looks so cute and lovely whatever she does that it makes my heart flutter in joy and admiration. I'm currently courting her, for those who didn't know, for three months. Although I didn't suffer the same fate of rejection Jisoo did, I still had to put an effort to get my girl. Chaeng wanted to take our time and I couldn't be happier for it gave me a chance to show her my deep affection.

"Well, I heard they opened a spectacular zoo in the nearby province." As I said those, her eyes immediately shined in excitement whilst smiling from ear to ear. I knew then that I just got myself a date this Saturday. She always had a soft spot for animals.
