The lunch bell rang and the two girls were brimming with excitement and anxiety. They piled out of the classroom, and people began crowding them, asking question after question, firing them with pure curiosity.

A few moments passed and Tamsin began to sidle off into the background, and she could only feel her anxiety rising every moment that passed. She finally let out a breath of fresh air, relieved that all the attention was on her slightly more extroverted friend when a hand on her shoulder interrupted her from her thoughts.

"Noticed you laughing at my jokes earlier?" She recognized the guy's voice. Flash?  Yeah, something like that... She smiles awkwardly, giving him a nod.

"Mhm. Thanks for being so nice to us newbies.!

He chuckles, slicking his hair back.

"It's no problem, don't sweat it. Anyways, this weekend I'm hosting a party. It'd be cool if you could come. And Kerrie of course. How about it?"

Tamsin smiled, eyebrows drawn in a furrowed state, an almost nervous expression.

"Yeah sure, I'll let Kerrie know..."

Flash clicks his tongue.

"Good. Good. Oh, hey, you should give me your number so we can get in touch, so we can give you the address and all that."

Tamsin quirks a brow, before sucking her teeth, in an apologetic manner.

"Right- see we actually still have Irish phone numbers so..."

"Oh, then snap?"

Tamsin smiles awkwardly and ends up giving it to him, before feeling a hand on her shoulder.

"Fuck off fatty, me and the babe were trying to discuss something important. Yknow, like parties. Parties you're not invited to." He snickers, and Tamsin looks back at Ned, with a grateful expression.

"Well, uh....the 'babe' looks uncomfortable and we need to ask her something so..."

Ned responded, to which Peter beside him butted in.

"Hey, can we maybe not talk about her like she isn't even here? Anyways, Tamsin right? Can we discuss something with you?"

Peter asks her, and all three guys had their eyes on her, which made Tamsin realise she had completely lost Kerrie. Fuck.

"Uh...yeah, sure." Tamsin smiled awkwardly, to which Flash scoffs.

"You're too nice Tamsin, its a cute look. I'll see you in a bit." He winks at her, causing her to grimace. Once he was out of earshot, she sighed loudly.

"Thank you. A bunch. That guy gives me tthe creeps." She muttered, which instilled Peter with a bit more confidence. It wasn't that Flash could make them both laugh, maybe they were just awkward. That improved his mood for sure.

"Yeah yeah- no problem...no problem- so uh...." His gentle voice was cut off by Neds excitement.

"Since you guys are going to the party, can we be your plus ones? Peter wants to get to know you guys- you're both super prett-"

Peter stood on his foot, smiling in an odd manner with wide eyes, the typical 'what the fuck, you werent meant to say that' expression commonly used between siblings or friends. Tamsin snorts.

"Right. Well, I wasn't gonna go but Kerrie will probably force me to. As long as one of you sticks with me for the night so I don't end up awkward and alone, sure ye can come." She boops them on the nose.
