This is a story about a beautiful young girl named April. She is an orphan born of Asian descent. Living in an orphanage for foreign children. Children who are too young to know any language other than what is taught to them. Most kids were kicked out at the age of 16 but not April. She was so loved at the orphanage that they let her stay. Now at 18 things are about to change. She'll have to learn how to live on her own. Or at least she thought. She spent years of her life cleaning, cooking, and teaching kids their English. Watching the young ones get adopted. Longing for a family, knowing it will never happen. She made it her whole life never being adopted, as she never was up to the American beauty standards. She always loved to be around the children and always felt bad for the ones who never got adopted. She knew how they must have felt. Aunt Meme would always tell her how she needs to not focus on the children as they will never be a part of her future. Most of them won't even remember April by the time they grow up. April would always listen and take in everything Aunt Meme. She always believed Aunt Meme told the truth about everything. How couldn't she when Meme was right every time? Maybe one day, she'll finally understand what the real world is.
