One-shot, two shots, three shots, three gunshots rang throughout my ears. A bullet struck my leg causing me to forcefully faceplant into the heavy snow. I put my hand up to my earpiece and called to whoever was listening.
"I have been hit, fall back soldiers"
"What a disappointment you are" Pierce's voice boomed through my earpiece
"What do you expect me to do!" I screamed
"GET UP AND FIGHT, DO WHAT YOU WERE MADE TO DO!" Pierce screamed back
I pounded my fists into the snow and let out a groan. All I ever do is fight and kill, not one break. I steadied myself as I got back on my feet and quickly drew my gun as I heard footsteps approaching.
"I just want to help" a man with long brown hair called out.
I cocked my head to him. I took in his appearance. He had baby blue eyes and a fiercely looking metal arm. He also carried a huge SIG-styled gun hoisted in his hands.
"And how can you possibly help me" I spat
"I was once where you were, trapped in my own mind by the doings of HYDRA, if you come with me, my team and I can help you," he said charismatically
I slowly lowered my gun as he mimicked my actions.
"Sorry, I don't know what you're talking about," I said quickly before drawing my gun again and firing four bullets at him.
He deflected each one with his arm. I moved in closer and kicked his gun out of his grip. He drew two knives one in each hand and began to attack me. I fired another round at him before he finally kicked me painfully hard in the chest and sent me flying back into a tree. I drew one of my daggers from my belt and threw it straight into his head. He however caught the blade with his metal arm and crushed it. My eyes widened as he landed a punch on my cheek almost knocking the mask off my face.
I threw him off balance as I sent him flying back with a powerful kick. I used the last of my strength and momentum to make my way back to HYDRAS base. Aware of what is going to happen to me I still continue to go back. I have no reason, no reason to live, no one to live for, so why not?
The moment my black heeled boots hit the cement floor I collapsed in agony. In a matter of seconds, two guards came and manhandled me into an oh-so-familiar room. They threw me into the metal chair and strapped me in. The cold metal against my skin sending painful memories to my mind. Pierce walked into the room with Doctor Whitehall.
As they made their way to me a sharp painful burning sensation overtook my face. I glanced up to notice Pierce getting ready to strike again. Another wave of pain washed over me followed by one more. My breathing became shallow, and my swollen face looked up to meet Pierce's eyes.
"You failed us, again" he seethed
"I was shot asshole" I spat back
He did not take kindly to my words. He punched me in the face this time earning a gasp from me.
"All I ask was for you to defend our base and keep our prisoners from being taken by those Avengers, you couldn't even do that" he hissed
"Wipe her, and then give her electroshock for her misbehaving" Pierce stated before trying to walk away
"WAIT!" I called out
Pierce stopped in his tracks and turned around devilishly slow.
"What"
"There was a man, he had brown hair and a metal arm, he said he was like me? What does that mean?" I asked
Pierce cocked his head and furrowed his brows.
