chapter 10

"Who's car are we taking?" Colby yells.

"Mine" I say as colby catches up with us. We get in the elevator and go down to the parking garage. We get in my jeep and I start it. I turn on the radio as copy cat by billie eilish plays. I smile as I turn it up a lot. "Ew! You like billie eilish" colby yells over the music.

I roll my eyes and turn the radio down a bit. I began driving. "Yes, yes I do colby. She is a queen." I smile.

Colby playfully rolls his eyes. "Whatever you say, loser." He laughs.

Sam sighs. "Are yall going to argue the whole time?" He raised one eyebrow. I shake my head as I pull into toco bell.

I park the car and we all get out. We walk up to the door and colby holds the door open for me. I nod my head thanking him.

We walk in and I see brennan sitting on his phone. Sam yells his name and they bro shake as sam sits next to him. Brennan sees me and smirks.

Colby and him bro shake as I take a seat next to colby.

"So who's getting the food?" Colby ask.

"The only women here." Brennan steps up. I scoff.

"What the hell man!" Sam punches brennan in the arm. "I'll get it" sam stands up and goes to get the food.

"So colby hows that hot bae you hooked up with at David's party the other night." Brennan chuckles.

Colbys clears his throat, "i- uh I don't know, you know I'm kinda talking to someone right now so yeah." Colby explains as I listen to the conversation.

After about 10 minutes sam comes back with a box of tocos. He opens the box and colby, him and brennan grab about two soft tocos. I wait till they were done grabbing what they need.

I look in the box and there was only one toco left. I sigh as I grab it. "That's all you need anyway." Brennan  chuckles.

I look at him with a upset look.I look over at colby who has a blank stare at brennan. I push the toco away as I pull out my phone. I open Instagram and began scrolling. I feel a hand on my thigh. I look down and see colbys hand. I look over at him as he swallowed his toco.

I watch him pull out his phone. He began typing. I look over at sam who was talking to brennan. My phone dinged as I check it. Colby had texted me.

Colby 😑

- dont listen to him.

- ik, I'm just not hungry anyway.

- Alyssa, Ik your hungry please eat.

-colby I'm fine, dont worry about me.

-alright fine.

I put down my phone, then put into my bag. I grab my wallet out of my bag. sam then stands up and colby quickly takes his hand off my thigh. I open my wallet and take out 20$. I hand it to sam. "Thanks for luch" I smile.

"But you didn't even eat." Sam gives me a worried look. "Dont listen to brennan." He whispered only loud enough for me to hear.

I look down at my bag as I stand up. "I- I just wasn't hungry, dont worry about it." I sigh.

"I have to go to the restroom. I'll uh meet yall in my car." Sam nods as I walk to the bathroom. I close the door and lock it. I look at my body in the mirror. As a single tear falls. Was I really not good enough.

More tears fell. I look myself in the mirror and wipe my smearing mascara. I laugh as I wipe the rest of my tears. I give a small smile. I was trying to play myself off. I sigh as I grab my bag walking out the bathroom.

I unlock the door to meet him. He grabs my hand and pulls me back into the bathroom "col- what" colby shushed me. He locks the bathroom door.

He looks down at me. "look at me!" He demands. I look up at him. He looks at my face and could see the rest of the tears that I held In my eyes.

"$h!t" he sighs as he pulls me in for a hug. I place my face on his chest, digging it further into it.

I could feel his chest vibrate from when he talked. "Alyssa, I I told you not to listen to him, hes a douche and he just wants attention. " he pulls from the hug lifting up my chin with his index finger.

He pulls me in for a kiss and gently connects our lips. He pulls away and whispers. "Your perfect okay." He smiles as he leans in gently kissing me agian. "Now you walk out there and if he says anything to you agian, kick him in the balls." Colby smiles.

I giggle a bit as I sniff and smile. I walk out the bathroom and colby waits about a minute before he comes out. I met Sam and brennan at my car.

"Why is brennan in my car, why isn't he driving his own!" I snap.

Sam looks me up and down as he gets in the driver's seat and brennan gets in the back. "Its easier if we take one car. Is that okay?" Sam ask.

I sigh and nod. I get in the back with brennan. Colby then open the passenger door and gets in. He looks back at me in the back seat then to brennan who was on his phone. I shrug. I pull out my phone as sam starts filming saying they were on their way to the mall.

I feel a hand on my thigh rubbing up and down. I look up and see it was brennan's hand, I look over at him and he was smirking. I shake my legs pushing his hand off as I scoot closer to the window.
