"Ellis..?"

Said man stared at the ground for a moment longer before he looked up at you. Was he...upset? That was new. You were slightly taken aback at the look in his green orbs. His stunning green eyes. No. Stop. Something was clearly wrong. Your expression softened into complete worry as you rested a hand on his arm.

"What is it..?"

He stared at you, making you want to melt. Now is not the time...

"Ro asked what happened. She said you were jealous. That me talkin' 'bout Zoey made ya feel bad. I-I didn't mean to make ya run off, (n/n). I mean, I was just jokin'. You know that."

Your envy and concern melted away, only to be placed with sympathy. Why was he apologizing? It wasn't his fault he liked one of the only girls left in the zombie apocalypse. Why was I such a bitch? Dammit, I hurt him. I never wanted to do that. You forced a smile to your lips as you moved your hand from his forearm to his cheek.

"Don't be sorry, El. I shouldn't have acted like that. I promise you didn't do anything. I was just bein' a bitch."

You instantly perked up as his smile returned. That smile you loved so much.

"You weren't bein' a bitch, (n/n)! You was just jealous, and I get that. I won't talk about Zoey no more. Promise."

You couldn't help but giggle a bit, silently naming every shade of green in his eyes.

"Whatever you say, El."

He just stared at you, his smile ever present. It was completely silent as you searched his eyes, and he seemed to search yours. Finally, Ellis spoke first, although it was more of a whisper.

"You're awful pretty too, (n/n)..."

You were thankful for the heat, considering it hid the blush the ravaged your cheeks.

"You ain't that bad lookin' yourself."

Ellis's smile turned to a slight smirk as he slid closer to you, his hand coming up to bury in your messy, (h/c) hair.

"Hey, while we're out here, we might wanna start thinkin' about how we're gonna repopulate the Earth."

You stared at him for a moment before you fell into a fit of laughter.

"That's the best pick-up line you could come up with?"

Ellis simply shrugged a bit, his face coming closer to yours as you were reduced to just a smile.

"Hard to think with such a gorgeous lady so close."

You couldn't help but smirk as your arms found his neck. You tugged slightly at the hair his hat didn't cover, making his eyes darken a bit. And, Lord Almighty, you loved it.

"Maybe you should do a little less thinkin' and a little more of kissin' me."

Ellis's smirk only grew as his free hand found your waist.

"Yes ma'am."

With that, he slammed his lips against yours. You immediately kissed back, your eyes falling shut as you melted. His lips were so soft and rough at the same time. The apocalypse did that to you, I guess. A shiver made its way up your spine as you felt his tongue so cleverly swipe against your lip. He didn't need to ask twice. Your tongue met his, both of you fighting for dominance over the kiss. The taste of beer that tinged his tongue was too much even for you. Ellis quickly started to explore every crevice of your mouth that he could find. You, however, were trying to convince your lungs that oxygen was overrated in a time like this. Your head took over, though, as you pulled away. You gasped for air, Ellis doing the same as you opened your eyes to meet his gaze. A single strand of saliva connected your mouths as you both smirked. You were still short of breath when your hands fell to find the hem of his shirt. You gave him a lustful look that made him want to just attack you.

"You are wearing way too much clothing..."

You helped him pull his shirt over his head, tossing it beside you as you glanced down at his bare chest. Good. God. You ran your hands over his toned skin, but Ellis was having none of it. He quickly grabbed your chin and delved into another heated kiss. You were so preoccupied with trying to win dominance this time that you almost didn't hear faint footsteps. Almost. You quickly pulled away, turning to look down the road. You could hear the faint shouts of the rest of the group, and you fell into a silent panic. This would not look good. You stood up almost immediately and grabbed Ellis's hand, pulling him into the closest building. You ran up a flight of stairs before shutting you both into a room. Your eyes found a closet that looked just big enough for the two of you, and you pulled him in. Ellis looked more than confused as you shut the doors, locking them from the inside. It was dark, and it took you a minute to adjust to it, compared to the bright sun outside. You were glad you could see, though, as you were met with the sight of your shirtless friend. You motioned for him to be quiet as you heard the front door open below. You could hear Rochelle speaking, and you struggled to make out her words.

"They couldn't have gone that far. Maybe they're already back at the safe house."

You heard mumbling before Nick's voice rang clear.

"I say we leave 'em. More room and supplies for us."

You silently cursed him and his family. That dick. You heard a bit more shuffling before you heard the door shut. You let out a breath you didn't know you were holding as you looked back at Ellis.

"It wouldn't hurt to let them look for another little while..."

You saw him smirk before he backed you against the side of the closet, his hands coming to rest beside your head. Your eyes traced his tattoo before you met his lustful gaze once again. That was so hot.

"'Bout that whole wearin' too much clothes thing..."

You couldn't help but smile before you slightly bit your lip. You pulled your shirt over your head and tossed it to the floor. Ellis not-so-discreetly ran his eyes over your chest. You had to stifle your laughter.

"Like what you see, Pretty Boy?"

Ellis just smiled at you before he lifted you up. You wrapped your legs around his waist, giggling as he started to line your collar bones with loving kisses. You could really start to get used to the sweet mechanic.
