They used to be mocked for walking the streets with lipstick on but as the two best friends run out of their favourite and now unforgettable tint "Blush Nr. 6" someone might think they took their lives out of desperation when really, it was all just...

Night liked to walk along this part of the city the best, 5th Street, because it was where all the questionable bunch made an appearance. Usually run off the mill druggies who had a bad rep in other parts so they tried to catch someone more unassuming down here. And Night thought he saw someone unassuming like that who would fall for his tricks of getting very much money for very little coke.
He walked up to the guy who was standing to the back to him on a bridge.
'If you're gonna jump you might as well get one last great hit,'
'No thanks, no masochist. I mean,' he was frantically gesturing with his hands and Night noticed the lipstick in one of them. 'I'm not looking to get beat up.'
'That thing could prove otherwise. There's all too many homophobes around who'd be triggered by that.'
The guy followed his gaze and snorted before realising what bad move that was and put on a more serious expression again. 'No really, I'm just catching some air.'
'Strange place to do that...' They were both overlooking the bridge now. The guy shrugged.
'I guess so. My name's Dream.' He chuckled again, realising his own stupidity. 'That was probably not a good thing to mention now. I mean, you being a dealer and all. You'd probably want to write that down somewhere to find my address and track me down, I don't know, the crazy shit you do to guys like me.'
'Guys like you...?'
'Enough of me. What's your name.'
'I go by night, it's quicker.'
Dream raised an eyebrow. Something Night would've usually shrugged off and kept moving but there was something about this guy that made him stay. He was at once very curious of why he was called Dream, maybe as curious as Dream was why he was called Night. 'It's a long story you wanna walk with me?' He causally stored a cigarette away in his mouth and Dream chuckled again.
'I don't think that's a good idea...'
'You're right, doing so could quickly turn this into a nightmare...'
'No way that is your full name!' Dream exclaimed then started laughing openly before he looked around like he was scared a sketchier guy had heard him and was about to jump him from the shadows.
'You look lost.'
Dream looked at him. 'I'm actually not. Just not from here.'
'I can walk you home.' Night already knew the answer to that but he thought it wouldn't hurt to ask, especially since the guy seemed quite giddy. You didn't see that around here often, most of the people here were sunken in a way. They never smiled. The guy on the other hand still had a small smile playing on his lips as he said 'No...' almost apologetically, well meaning, friendly. But also smug. He seemed to be all kinds of things.
'See for yourself.' He waved at him with his cigarette, and chuckling again, Dream waved back with his lipstick. Strange guy. So cheerful too.
