It was a windy day in Autumn. The leaves were crunching against your feet as you walked home from your last day of school. The sun had beaten down on your hair and the wind was light, making the current falling leaves spin.
You smile, entering your house on the corner of your neighbourhood, it was quiet.
Unlike what it usually is on your way inside from a normal day.
You maybe thought your parents were at work, and your siblings were at a friend's.
You turn against your heels and out your coat up on the hanger, until you felt a presence in the room.
You didn't move, thinking it was a threat.
"You really think I would hurt the love of my life." They spill out with quakes in their voice.
You turn, your eyes now filling with the brim with tears.
"This cant be." You shake your head.
They nod and step closer to you, bringing your tensed up body into a warm embrace. "I'm here now darling." They sniff.
"You're here." You quiver out.
The air you breathed, was the air they had breathed. You touched their cheek with your hand, and they leaned their cheek against your hand.
"I will never. Ever leave you." They smile.
"You better not.. You asshole." You chuckle out sadly. They chuckle and lean in and gently brush your hair behind your ear. They slowly kissed you, before pulling away. "I love you... Y/n."
Your name echoed through your ears.
"I love you Y/n.."
You smile through gentle tears peaking through your eyes.
"I love you too"
