Crossing Over

Crossing Over

When I was little, I remember a boy with spiky red hair that was turning white . . . this boy was my big brother Touya.
I remember him with a gentle touch and the will to help anyone without thinking. But as he grew, he didn't listen to what our father was saying, and he continued to destroy himself just to make our dad proud, but when he went up the hill he didn't come back. They said he had died by his flames. The flames took my brother away from me and from my family.
After that, my father sent me away to America. He said there would be someone waiting for me, but no one was there. I was on my own for a while, but then I met someone whose name was Regina. She let me stay with her and her boyfriend Lui, and she helped me train my quirk to be as strong as I could make it since she had a similar quirk to mine.
Years went by and I had spent part of my first year of high school in America, then I made the decision to apply to UA high school, and even though the year already started, they accepted my application. They had also sent me a letter stating what class and dorm I would be staying in, and a map that wasn't very helpful.

     "So which way do I go?" Rai asked, confused.
     "They did send you a map for a reason, so why don't you use it?" Regina said in a tone that made her sound like Rai's mother.
"Have you seen this thing? It's practically like a child made it," Rai said sarcastically.
"I mean it's better than nothing, right?" Regina smirked with a smart tone
"How about you look at it," Rai said with an attitude.
"Well, I don't see anything wrong with it. I can read it just fine," Regina said with a smile on her face.
"Well, why don't you tell me where to go?!" Rai said with even more of an attitude
Regina had the map in her face squinting so she could read the tiny words on the map
"Well it says to go that way then take a right when you get to a black fence and walk that path till you get to the school," Regina said peering over the edge of the map
"Well, I'll see you later!" Rai said with a smile on her face as she ran down the sidewalk.

When I first saw the school, my first thought was "I think I'm going to get lost looking for the class", but thankfully I didn't get lost because Void ran down the halls to stop someone.
When we got there we heard someone yelling. When we peered into the class there was a boy with fluffy green hair cowering in the corner and the reason he was in the corner was that a boy with spiky ash-blond hair was standing over him was yelling at him.
"Well now we know who was yelling," Tada said with her head peeking into the classroom from the hall.
"Yup," Rai said with her usual monotone voice.
Standing there I saw a boy with white hair that parted red and a scare on his left eye. He stood up with a shocked look on his face. He slowly walked toward me and pulled me into a tight hug. At first, I was confused but then I remembered my brother, Shoto. Tears filled my eyes and I hugged him back.

"Alright so you need to partner up and head to Ground Beta," Aizawa said, yawning.
I was going to pair up with Tada but a boy with yellow hair and a lightning bolt through one of his bangs. He had electric yellow eyes and looked nervous.
"Hey, it's Rairikku right? I was wondering if you would be my partner,"
"Sure . . . oh and you can call me Rai,"
"Cool my name is Denki Kaminari but you can call me Denki!"
When we got to Ground Beta, Mr. Aizawa told us we were going to fight with our partners. When it came time for Denki and me to fight, he looked more confident than he had before.
