**Prologue**

I know, I know girls are not supposed to be video game testers or designers for that matter. It was like a code or something stupid like that. In all honesty guys have it completely wrong. Like so wrong they might as well be living on the moon or something. The larger percent of gamers, are female (Bet you didn't know that did ya). Yup that's right boys did I just shatter you're narrow minded little world?

I woke up on my couch the theme song to Borderlands humming quietly. The lyrics 'Ain't no rest for the wicked,' were definitely going to be stuck in my head all day.I sighed as I turned off my gaming system, I must have passed out last night sometime between 3 and whenever. I stretched as I stood up awkwardly, I was going to be sore today that was for sure. I stumbled towards my bathroom yawning lazily. Today I was supposed to start work at 'D.G.S.' or better known as Dark Guns Studios which was a major video game company in my city.

Today was going to be rough. Not only did I feel like complete and utter garbage from my lack of sleep. I had to spend eight hours in a testosterone filled room. I pictured it in my head making myself shiver. I quickly hopped in the shower attempting to wake myself up completely.

I hurried out of the taxi and made my way up the massive concrete stairs. The D.G.S. building was beautiful. It had a new age feel to it. Completely modern with tons of windows and peaks. I stood outside staring up at my future in awe. This job could make or break me. I took a deep breath and closed my eyes trying to calm my nerves. Suddenly I found myself on the ground after being hit from behind hard.

"Oh my god, I'm so sorry, are you hurt?" A male voice said from behind me. "Oh jeez your one of the models arn't you? I"m going to get fired," he rambled as I peeled myself up off the hard ground.

"No I"m good," I sighed wiping my jeans off and turning to face my attacker. "And no I'm not a model you're safe for another day," I added trying to calm the guy down. He seemed like he was going into a full on panic attack. "I'm Mika Kendall," I offered him my hand. "You can call me Kendall."

"Are you lost Mika... I mean Kendall?" He asked looking at me like I was an alien from another planet. Great first person I meet thinks I"m out of place.

"No I'm not lost," I sighed as he shook my hand.

"I"m James Marshall," He smiled at me. "I know you must be a new Secretary," he blurted. Was he just dumb or was he just completely ignorant?

"I"m starting work here today as a tester," I sighed. It was going to be a long day.
