As she watched the car pull up to the driveway, she didn't know what to expect. Most likely men dressed in black would come to take her away. Her family looked from the window in horror as to what was about to happen. Alice checked to make sure no one was watching and let the darkness overtake her until she was almost gone. The men stepped out of the car, guns in hand, and took aim. Alice casted a dark shield around her. The bullets reflected off of it like nothing. The men looked at her with horror as to what just happened. Then before they knew it, they were dead. Darkness slowly creeped up them, slithering down their throats and choking them death. Alice blocked out their cries of pleading and walked towards the dying men. One by one they fell and she causally let the darkness over take them and she slowly watched them disappear into nothing.
And to think a couple of weeks ago she was eating peacefully with her family as mom complained about work, Dad talked about his workers slacking off and how he should fire Jorge. And her big brother Joe picked through his food, only eating meat. A typical family dinner. Alice and her family lived in a peaceful area called Riverhead in Long Island NY, where down the street are farms and a forest that stetches for miles until it reaches the sound. Alice is16 years old, she's a tall brunette. A small face that still looks kid like. While other girls like to go shopping for 'cute' clothes, Alice would rather go hiking in the woods or practice with her BB gun. Her mother is 46 years old and slender with blonde hair. Her father is 51, I know that sounds old but with him dyeing his hair once a month a dark brown, you can't really tell. Her brother is 18 and thinks he's cool cause he goes to parties practically every night and drinks. Wo sounds like fun. He got out of high school with a 70 GPA, which is why he's in community college. He also drinks a ton of protein shakes and works out everyday so yea he's buff. Though he waddles when he walks because he's so big. Alice's family has 2 birds, a dog, a fish tank, and a pond. A lot of noise in the house so in the summer you can usually find her at the wetlands or in a tree in the backyard somewhere.
"ALICE YOUR GOING TO MISS THE BUS!!!!" Alice groans and looks over at the clock, it reads 6:30 am. She slowly gets out of bed taking her sweet time. Another school day, at least its finally friday. Joe passes by the door and makes his tough guy face and walks into the bathroom. Alice's room is small but cozy. The walls are a dark turquoise so it almost resembles Sea World. There are posters of animals on the walls and a large mirror that takes up have the wall. Right underneath that is her dresser with a chinese treasure chest on top of it, that she keeps family vacation souvenirs in. She walks over to the pile of clothes she set up last night and pulls on a pair of dark skinny jeans, a white T-shirt with a picture of New York City on it, and a dark green zipper sweatshirt. One thing about Alice is you'll never catch her wearing pink.
Joe walks out of the bathroom with just a pair of boxers on, "PUT SOME PANTS ON ALREADY!!" he looks at her and says "ITS MY HOUSE!"
Alice zips through brushing her teeth and heads downstairs. "Your going to be late" her mother says. Alice looks at the clock and it read 6:45. "No I'm not, it takes me two seconds to get ready." She packs her backpack and goes in the kitchen to get some cereal. The only thing left is granola cereal, "Guess that will do." She eats quick and before she knows it shes outside in the winter air. The cold immediately gets to her and she shoves her hands in her pockets. Snow is still on the ground from the snowstorm last week. And Diana is at the bus stop. She was Alice's friend when she was younger but as they got older Diana started to hangout with the "cool girls" though she still doesn't understand how wearing super tight clothes with jet black eyeliner makes them cool. It looks likes they have two black eyes for pete sake!!
The bus arrives and they both get on. Alice sits 3 seat from the front on the right side of the bus by herself and Diana goes straight to the back. Before she knows it shes at school. Riverhead school district is fairly small compared to other schools. The high school is composed of one long hallway with a bunch of smaller hallways branching off of it.
As soon as Alice enters the school she is greeted by her friend Tom. Wearing a black sweatshirt and blue jeans as usual. " Morning" as he does is signature three finger wave. Alice nods "Morning, ITS FRIDAY!!" Matt walks through the doors and says "Shut up and stop being so happy!" Alice just laughs. " Ok kids move along to class" Mr. Goldman approaches them from behind. The gang quietly starts walk away. While Tom does a impression of his angry face behind his back. Alice laughs and Matt just smirks. Before she knows it, the first bell rings, math class great. "Try not to fail" Matt says. "O please I have a 92 in that class" And with that she runs off the class.
3rd period comes around soon enough and its English class with Miss. Calla . Today is the day where all the trouble started.
She goes to her seat in the back of the classroom behind her friend Vanessa. She smiles real big at her and says "hi." Alice smirks and says " hey, so did you get it?" Vanessa reaches inside the her backpack and pulls out a pentagram necklace. Alice can't help but smile " I can't believe you bought it, I thought you would be freaked out by it." Vanessa makes a confused face "Why would I?". Just then Jean comes into class. " Vanessa Marie what do you have?!" Vanessa still confused as ever answers " A pentagram, Alice wanted it" Jean took a fearful glance at Alice. " But they are used for witches and demon things" Vanessa then just stared at Alice too. "Jean you've got them mixed up, there are two types of pentagrams. If it has the point on the top then it's Wiccan, if it's on the side then you shouldn't buy it." Vanessa stares in disbelief at Alice. " THAT'S WHY PEOPLE WERE STARING AT ME!" Alice quickly grabs the necklace before Vanessa can put it back. They both glare at Alice while she slowly sinks into the seat.
" Morning class, take out your notebooks" Miss Calla said as she walked in. Saved by the teacher.
