Hello, my name is Alex, I am meeting up with one of my friends at a local 711 store. (Idk😮‍💨)
It's already getting darker, as I continue to walk I think, "hm, maybe the woods would be a faster way of getting there, since the woods are right behind the store."
As I approach the woods, I can't see that far ahead of me, only darkness awaits on the other side of where I am headed.
As I walk through the woods, I see some bones on the ground, thinking it was animal bones.
As I look along the path, I see the trail of blood leading right to the bones, I see what may be the remains of...a human leg?.
"This couldn't POSSIBLY be a human skeleton...right..?"
I say to myself. I hear a twig break in the distance, now getting scared I try to take off running, I trip and hit my nose on the ground, causing a nose bleed. "Damnit."
I say as I get up and continue to walk.
After a few hours it soon gets very dark, dark enough to where you can't see anything besides where you're standing.
I think of turning back, but I've came such a long way into the woods, plus..who knows what's back that way.
I hear footsteps running towards me and I get terrified, taking off running away from it not even wanting to look at my surroundings, I stop after a while, trying to catch my breath.
I listen..no sound at all. I start to panic again, thinking something or someone is near me.
After about an hour I see light, it must be from the 711 sign, "thank god!" I think to myself.
I hear footsteps running towards me, but before I could react..Karl came into the woods.
"There you are, where were you?" He said.
"Don't worry about it! I'm okay, I promise." I say smiling.
We walk out of the woods..still scared I look back and see a pale face, wrinkly man, looking at me with crazy eyes..what were to happen if Karl didn't come to me..? Would I have been dead..? He saved my life without even knowing it..who knows what would've happened if I stayed in the woods any longer..
I just know I've learned my lesson. Next time, I'm making Karl pick me up.
