I yawned as the bell rang, signalling the end of school for the day. I was so ready to go home and stretch before my ballet class. Grabbing my bag, I ran to the bus lines so I could get to the library to study. As I was walking, someone ran past me and accidentally bumped me, making my textbooks that didn't fit in my bag fall to the ground. Dang it! I stooped to pick them up and sort the pages that have fallen out of some.
A shadow fell over me and a voice said, "Need a hand? I'm really sorry I bumped into you." I looked up to see the most annoying person in the whole history of annoying people; Martin Davis.
"Ew no, why would I want your help? Stay out of my life please!" I said, picking up the last of my books and running to jump on the bus.

Typing on my laptop, I wrote the last few words of my 1000 word essay on how electricity is made. I still had time before I had to go to dance so I checked my emails. Weirdly, I seemed to have this email from the Australian Ballet. Why would they email me? Curious, I opened the email;
Dear Alexandra Kenzie,
We have heard about your ballet achievements and wish to invite you to join The Australian Ballet. You may audition on the 10th of September at 12.30pm. If you wish to audition, please bring a solo piece for performing and your music for that piece.
What to wear: A leotard with pink tights. A short skirt is optional.
What to bring: A towel, drink bottle, essential dance equipment and a yoga mat.
Please reply if you are interested in auditioning. If you aren't we will send an audition email to someone else worthy of being in the Australian Ballet.
We look forward to seeing you at the audition!
Kind Regards,
The Australian Ballet Company
I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw this invite. I have a chance to be in the Australian Ballet! It is my dream to become a professional ballerina! I immediately started writing an email back to them.
Dear the Australian Ballet,
I would be delighted to audition for a position. Thank you for the amazing opportunity to join your company. I will see you at 12.30pm on the 10th of September for the audition for principal dancer!
Kind Regards,
Alexandra Kenzie
I smiled as I closed my laptop and placed it into my bag and went home.

"Alexandra? Are you with us? The Australian Ballet won't be happy if you're daydreaming all the time!" Miss Emily's voice snapped me back down to earth.
"Alex! Why didn't you tell me you are going to the Australian Ballet?!" Saffron asked me. "WHY??"
"I'm not in the Australian Ballet yet Saffy, I have to audition and the audition is next week," I replied.
"That's still amazing you get the chance to become famous like Misty Copeland!" Saffy said. "Good luck!"
"Thank you!" I smiled. They didnt know how scared I was.
