Chapter Two
Tony's P.O.V:
"That's the last of it." Vic enters the living room, no longer holding his guitar and suitcases. "You got everything, Tone?"
I nod, but I wasn't entirely positive that I had everything I would need for this tour. It's Warped Tour, Warped fucking Tour. I had packed a lot, I had packed all that I thought I would need - but I'm sure I'm forgetting something. I always do.
"Woo!" Mike chants, pumping his fists in the air. "Let's hit the road!" He grabs his girlfriend, Frenchi, in his arms, kissing her one last time before we leave. I don't know how he does it, how he can easily leave her here. I can't even leave my best friend without hurting for the whole duration of a tour.
My eyes shift over to Jaime, who was silent. He was busy texting someone. Probably his girlfriend, probably Jessica. I reach for my phone, pulling it out of my pocket. "Guys, I'm going out back for a second." I say, walking towards Mike and Vic's back door and sliding it open.
"Hurry up!" Mike shouts.
I dial her number, I had to get a hold of her. She doesn't answer straight away which cause me to worry, it causes me to worry even more.
"Hey." Her voice is tired, exhausted even.
"Are you home?" I don't waste time, I had no time to waste.
"Yeah, why?" She questions, seemingly concerned at my eagerness.
"Pack a bag, you're coming with us." I say, smiling even though she can't see it.
"Tony, I can't." She says, sighing.
"No objections." I say, "You're coming whether you like it or not."
"Tony," She stops.
"We're on our way. Be ready in 10."
I hang up and start back to the guys. "We have to go get Alanna."
"What?" Vic asks, his voice seeming unsure, as if he didn't like the idea.
"She's coming." I state. "She's coming, she has to."
"Tone, you can't just make that decision right before we leave." Jaime speaks up, no longer paying any attention to his phone. "You should have asked."
"Dude, I don't care." I say. "I can't leave her here alone. She's either coming or I don't go." I give them no other option. They need me for the tour and they knew I was being honest. They knew I wouldn't go without her.
"Alright," Vic chimes in. "But we don't have any extra bunks. They're all taken."
"That's fine. She can bunk with me." I smile. I wouldn't mind sharing, I don't mind sharing a bunk with my best friend.
We search Mike and Vic's living room one last time; making sure we've gotten everything in the bus, making sure we didn't leave anything behind. The house grows silent as the guys shuffle out to the bus, leaving me alone for a short time. I was lost in my thoughts, lost in my head.
I walk out, shutting the door behind me. I make my way to the bus, stumbling in. I give our driver directions to Alanna's, making him aware that we have to go pick her up. He seems irritated, irritated that he didn't know we would be making a stop beforehand. "This is going to screw up my timing." He says, his voice coated in irritation, just as I thought. He huffs and begins to pull away from the Vic and Mike's house.
The drive to Alanna's is not long at all. I hop off the bus, running up to her door. I knock a few times, awaiting her to open up. She comes to the door, dressed in pajamas.
"You ready?" I say, excitedly.
"As ready as I could be with such a short notice." She laughs, her laugh warming my heart. She hands me her bags and I take them willingly. I wait as she locks her door.
When we get on the bus, the guys greet Alanna. "Hey, small-fry!" Mike laughs, pulling her into a hug. "Glad you're joining the party."
"Mike, I may be 5'6 but I will still kick your gigantic ass." She says, throwing her fists up in his face. He reaches to cover his face, to block her from hitting him.
"I have no doubts about that." Mike turns away, walking down the narrow hall to the back lounge.
"Lanna!" Vic comes running up to her, encasing her in his arms tightly. "I fucking missed you!" He doesn't let go straight away, he just holds her even tighter.
"Paws off now, Mexico." She giggles. "I missed you too."
"Are you okay?" His eyes stare into hers, concern written in them. I had told him about her latest suicide attempt - about the night I went over to go spend some time with her, but I had found her attempting to give up on me once again.
"I'm fine, Victor." She looks at him seriously, trying to make him believe her. I couldn't believe her though, I knew her better than that.
"I hope so." He says. He pulls her into another hug, even though it wasn't long ago that he had let her out of the first one. Just as he begins to walk away, Jaime comes up and hugs her from behind.
"Mi amigo, mi amor!" He shouts in her ear as she rolls her eyes - unamused by him, by his silliness.
"Hime, you just seem to get dumber as time goes on." She turns to face him, to hug him back.
"That hurts." He says, clutching onto his chest where his heart would be.
I grab Alanna's hand, gearing her towards the back lounge. "Movies and drinks!" I chant.
