"clayyyyy" you yelled waiting for him to come down the stairs, "i'm coming i'm coming!!" he yelled back. " OK i didn't need to know that!! just hurry up!" you teased as he slowly treaded down the stairs glaring at you and lightly smiling. " you're so disgusting y/n." he mumbled making you burst into a wheeze, " Jesus i sound like i've been smoking for 30 years" you stated making clay break out into a wheeze as well, " s-so do i" he managed to say while laughing in between words. "okay let's go grandpa dream" you said walking out the door, he followed you out and you both go into your car( you drove over to his house) you looked at your phone while hooking up to your cars bluetooth before going into reverse and backing out of his driveway. "okay let's get in" you said while unbuckling, you noticed clay was already out and at your door opening it for you. (time skip to when you get back from the mall)

you pull into your driveway( you and clay decided to go to your house and eat dinner with your family) you get out and clay grabs his bags. you both walk in and are greeted by your little sister, Maddy and dad. your dad looks at you with concern and pulls you into the other room " i'm sorry i didn't call you... " he starts making you nervous and scared. " your moms in the hospital again, they keep saying there's really nothing they can do at this point" he says softly making it so clay and your little sister can't hear. you nod and while rubbing the tear off your cheek. " it's okay, i'm just glad she'll get the medicine to make the pain go away" you say while walking into the other room. you walk up to clay and sit next to him on the couch. " so anyway, how's drista?" maddy asked, clay quickly responds with " she's been sick the last few days but other than that great" he says " that's why she hasn't been at school, eh?" clay nods. you get up again and walk over to the oven where your dad is making dinner," is clay staying? i need to know how much to make." he says, you yell to clay asking if he'll be staying for dinner and he nods. you tell your dad yes and help him with anything else he needs to do for dinner. about 30 mins later "dinner is ready" you yell to maddy and clay who walk over and grab plates for everyone and you help them set up the table. during the meal you and clay kept accidentally looking at each other and blushing. *does he like me too? i mean we joke flirt all the time but i don't think he means anything* you quickly look to Maddy who has been teasing you two the whole dinner, " get a room" she scoffed making clay lightly wheeze and punch you playfully in the arm. your dad walked away from the table a little bit ago because he got a call from the hospital. "y/n we need to go the hospital, like right now." he stated while walking over to the key bowl and grabbing his keys. "clay stay with Maddy and make sure she doesn't die pls" he nodded and looked over to her nodding in a question like way. she nodded back and smiled really big.
